These sleepers will be taking advantage of favorable matchups with involvement in their offense. All statistics found in this article can be found at our website https://www.lineups.com/nfl.
WR Deebo Samuel (SF) vs. ARI – 9.8% Rostered
Samuel saw a significant workload during the 49ers first loss of the season. He saw 11 targets catching 8 for 112 yards, tallying his second-highest fantasy total of 15.2 fantasy points. Averaging 14.0 yards per reception against the Seahawks, who rank 18th against opposing fantasy wide receivers this season. An impressive outing for the rookie, seeing a season high in targets, catches, and yards. Fellow 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders went down with a rib injury that took him out of the Monday Night Football game. Emmanuel Sanders early exit from the game and George Kittle’s absence added to Samuels involvement in the offense. However, facing Arizona’s defense during week 11, who has allowed the most passing yards, the most passing touchdowns, 12th most yards per completion, and 6th most in yards per attempt. Samuel was a dropped wide-open touchdown away from having 3 weeks in a row scoring double-digit fantasy points. A favorable matchup against the Cardinals in week 11 incites a lot of interest as a sleeper.
WR Hunter Renfrow (OAK) vs. CIN – 7.9% Rostered
A tough matchup against the Chargers proved challenging for the Raiders offense. An above average defense with some of the best secondary players in the league. Renfrow has proved to one of Carr’s go-to guys in the Raiders’ offense. Tying for most in targets and out-catching Tyrell Williams and leading other receivers in yards. So Far this season Renfrow also ties Tyrell Williams for most red-zone targets to receivers. Facing the Cincinnati Bengals in week 11 who have allowed the most yards per completion and the most yards per attempt on the season. Also allowing the third most red-zone touchdowns, Renfrow is primed for a bounce-back performance against the Cincinnati Bengals.
QB Sam Darnold (NYJ) vs. WAS – 11.6% Rostered
A bounce-back performance against the New York Giants netted Darnold 21.7 fantasy points, his highest total of the year. Throwing for 230 yards and a touchdown on 19 completions, rushing 3 times for 25 yards and a touchdown. Not throwing an interception for the first time since week 1 of the season. Facing the Washington Redskins during week 11, another favorable matchup for the New York Jets. The Redskins have allowed an average of 72.5% of passing attempts. Allowing the 9th most yards per attempt and 14th most passing yards. A below average defensive unit overall, Darnold could keep this production going through week 11 facing the Redskins.
WR Ted Ginn Jr. (NO) vs. TB – 9.8% Rostered
Playing almost 70% of the snaps in week 10 against the Falcons, Ginn is the second-wide receiver in this New Orleans offense. Playing the second-most snaps and seeing the second most targets behind Michael Thomas. Facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 11, who rank 6th in passing yards allowed, 9th in yards per completion, and have allowed the 4th most passing touchdowns. After an embarrassing outing against the Atlanta Falcons defense, the Saints will be looking to bounce back in a big way. Averaging 12.3 yards per reception this season, Ginn is the deep threat that can break a play at any time. Especially against one of the worst passing defenses in the league
TE Ross Dwelley (SF) vs. ARI – 4.6% Rostered
After George Kittle injured his knee and ankle during week 9 against the Cardinals. Due to Kittles absence, backup tight-end Ross Dwelley stepped into the starting role. In Kittle’s absence Dwelley saw 7 targets from Garoppolo. If Kittle misses week 11, Dwelley could have a breakout game against the Arizona Cardinals who rank 32nd against opposing fantasy tight-ends. Kittle’s MRI results have not been made public and Kittle did not participate in practice all week. Creating doubt about Kittle’s injury designation for week 11, Dwelley is a great sleeper pickup that can step in and perform like a high-end TE1 against the Arizona Cardinals.
RB J.D. McKissic (DET) vs. DAL – 16.0% Rostered
Though playing less snaps than Ty Johnson, McKissic saw more touches than Johnson. Johnson saw 16 touches compared to Johnson’s 6 total touches. Facing one of the best offenses in the NFL that will promote a pass-heavy game script, favoring McKissic’s skills as a threat out of the backfield. McKissic’s involvement in the passing offense, makes his touches much more valuable than Johnson’s. He has also been the more efficient back in the Lions’ offense. Facing a mediocre rush defense, McKissic is the best sleeper at the running-back position.
WR Demaryius Thomas (NYJ) vs. WAS – 4.4% Rostered
Tying his season high of 9 targets against the Giants, catching 6 for 84 yards. Averaging 14.0 yards per completion. The Redskins are middle-of-the-pack against opposing fantasy wide receivers. Ranking 14th in yards allowed, 10th in yards per attempt, and 11th most in passing touchdowns. Thomas has seen a somewhat heavy involvement in this Jets’ offense, averaging 74.5% offensive snaps since week 5. Thomas has averaged 12.2 yards per reception this season. A possible breakout performance could be ahead for Thomas in week 11.
