Kenny Stills Fantasy Football Outlook & Value 2019

Don’t come into the 2020 fantasy football season unprepared! Prepare with our complete fantasy football rankings and projections. Even if you don’t play full season fantasy we can help with our NFL DFS projections. It may seem like a daunting task but with our tools you will be able to succeed vs the competition this season.

Kenny Stills has averaged six touchdowns per season with the Miami Dolphins, but his yardage and targets have been all over the place. Stills came into the league at age 21, and will be turning 27 this season. We look to a Miami passing attack that hasn’t had much success in the last decade, but have some value wideouts to consider late in drafts. Stills is certainly one of them if the targets can get back to 2016-2017.

Coming off of a 105 target season in 2017, there was a massive drop off in targets to get to 64 in 2018. He caught 57% of his targets, which was his highest mark in Miami. With the quarterbacks under center, there isn’t a firm belief that this receiving core will get a steady dose of catchable balls. Stills track record has been on some bad teams or in limited roles like his days in New Orleans. We should see a tick back up in targets, which would be helpful for his upside. Posting two games over 100 yards isn’t an appealing stat, and the even worse one is that he had 12 games under 50 receiving yards. While the lower targets didn’t help, we shouldn’t forget the floors on a weekly basis.

Stills comes in as a fringe top 50 wideout, but has the upside to crack top 30. While the targets were low last year, we should see a bounce back this season. Stills has breakout potential every week, but the floor on a weekly basis is not great. If he can get around six targets on average, I would feel better about that floor rising. If that isn’t the case, he will be an extreme boom or bust option. Stills has averaged 16 yards per reception in his career, and has 32 touchdowns in his six year career on 446 targets. Stills continues to be a late round dart throw and not much more. The good thing is that this offense should be throwing the ball and hopefully Josh Rosen can get into rhythm with this group.

Draft & Auction Value

As mentioned above, Stills is nothing more than a late round dart throw. His ADP points to others thinking that as well. You will find Stills on the sleeper lists of articles or post hype breakouts, so he isn’t a complete surprise to people. His auction and ADP value are in sync with where you should be getting him at and not much higher. If Rosen finds any sort of consistency, the Dolphins offense are going to be complete bargains before and after the draft. Keep Stills on your radar even with the knowledge of him having a mediocre floor. He is still a guy to chase the upside of, even if it hasn’t fully come yet. The price is low enough to bite.
