As the Fantasy Football playoff season begins, there are multiple defenses with sneaky-good matchups in week 15. Teams like the New England Patriots have re-entered the top fantasy defense list after multiple weeks against high-powered offenses. In addition, the Steelers defense continues to leave their mark against opposing offenses regardless of matchup. This Sunday, there are many fantasy defenses to take a chance on if you’re looking to get an edge for week 15.

New England Patriots vs. Cincinnati Bengals

New England Patriots
Starting the New England Patriots is a no-brainer in week 15. This season, the Patriots have been the NFL’s most productive fantasy defense due to their ability to create turnovers, score defensive TDs, and limit points. For the 14th week in a row, New England leads all teams in terms of interceptions, while limiting opponents to the fewest points allowed this season. Against a horrible Bengals offense that is struggling to score 15 points per game, you can expect the Patriots to be an elite option on Sunday.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills

Pittsburgh Steelers
Since week three, the Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been an elite fantasy unit regardless of matchup. This season, the Steelers defensive line has been tremendously aggressive, by ranking in the top two for sacks and fumble recoveries. On Sunday, the Steelers are likely to have a field day pressuring Josh Allen, who has been sacked a whopping 33 times this season. As a result, Pittsburgh is likely to have a great outing in week 15.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers

Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have played like a top-ten defense this season, and are currently a top-five defense to start in week 15. The Seahawks’ secondary has been a bend-not-break unit that currently has the third-most interceptions in the league. Even more impressive, Seattle has recovered more fumbles than any other team in the NFL. This opportunistic defense will have a lot of chances to succeed against a Carolina Panthers offense that currently has the third-most giveaways in the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins

Philadelphia Eagles
Over their last six games, the Philadelphia Eagles have held opponents below 15 points four times. While the Eagles defense usually isn’t a safe defense to start, they will have a relatively high floor against the Washington Redskins. The Skins offense is currently worst in the NFL in terms of points and yards per game this season. Therefore, the Redskins won’t be a threat to harm the Eagles fantasy defense in week 15.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

Kansas City Chiefs
After coming into this year as one of the league’s worst defenses, the Chiefs have turned things around in recent weeks. Over the last three weeks, the Chiefs defense has suffocated opposing teams, by limiting them to less than 20 points each week. Despite an explosive offensive outing last week, the Denver Broncos are averaging the sixth-least points per game this season. If you’re looking for a defense to add for the playoffs, the Chiefs are an under the radar steal.

New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts

New Orleans Saints
As of right now, the New Orleans Saints have been the seventh-best fantasy defense in the NFL. Due to the stellar play of Cam Jordan, the New Orleans Saints defensive line has been a daunting unit that has recorded 43 sacks this season. This week, the Saints will compete against an Indianapolis Colts offense that has been depleted with injuries. Resultantly, you can expect this Saints D-Line to handle the Colts soundly.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Atlanta Falcons

San Francisco 49ers
Throughout the entirety of the regular season, the 49ers have been a top-three NFL defense in the NFL. Heading into this week, Falcons quarterback, Matt Ryan has been sacked the fifth-most times in the league. This is bad news for Ryan, especially against a Niners defense that has successfully gotten after the quarterback 45 times. With Calvin Ridley on the injured reserve list, and Julio Jones currently listed as questionable, San Francisco is primed for a great fantasy week on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Minnesota Vikings
Over their last three games, the Minnesota Vikings have averaged three sacks per week. On Sunday, the Vikings defense was extremely productive against the Detroit Lions, and look to continue their success against the Chargers. Throughout the regular season, the Chargers offense, whose inconsistency has held them under 20 points five times. Against a daunting defense, like the Vikings, that ranks in the top-seven in terms of restricting opponents’ points per game, the Vikings are a quality defense to insert into your lineup.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys

Los Angeles Rams
Heading into week 14, the Dallas Cowboys offense was a lackluster unit that struggled to average 12 points per game in consecutive weeks. Similar to the Chargers, the Cowboys offensive scheme has been riddled with inconsistency that has made them vulnerable. Over the past two weeks, the Rams have been a top-five fantasy defense that is averaging 16 fantasy points in consecutive weeks. Therefore, they are a great defense to bet on this Sunday.
