We will get back some quarterbacks from byes last week, as Drew Brees, Jared Goff, and Matt Ryan will return. Ryan of course still needs to get back to practice, but that seems likely at some point this week. Lamar Jackson is going to top the list here this week going up against Cincinnati. The Bengals are allowing the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, and rank in side the bottom five against the pass. We also know Jackson is going to notch on his usual rushing production. Brees will have a great chance to go off this week. Atlanta’s secondary is easy to target, allowing the 4th most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.
The Cardinals and Buccaneers are squaring off this week, and this has shootout potential written all over it. Both secondaries have struggled all year, and quarterbacks have had big success. Arizona and Tampa Bay are allowing the second and third most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Patrick Mahomes is expected to return this week against the Titans, who have looked iffy the last few weeks. They also are banged up in the secondary. Philip Rivers gets a bump up this week against Oakland, who are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Rivers had a strong week against the Packers, but couldn’t find the end zone.
Week 10 Running Backs Rankings
Week 10 Ranking | Player | Week 10 Opponent | Week 10 Projection |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Christian McCaffrey | @GB | 28.6 |
2 | Saquon Barkley | @NYJ | 23.2 |
3 | Alvin Kamara* | ATL | 21.9 |
4 | Ezekiel Elliott | MIN | 20.3 |
5 | Dalvin Cook | @DAL | 19.7 |
6 | Aaron Jones | CAR | 18.6 |
7 | Derrick Henry | KC | 17.5 |
8 | Josh Jacobs | LAC | 17.4 |
9 | Marlon Mack | MIA | 17.1 |
10 | Mark Ingram | @CIN | 16.5 |
11 | Nick Chubb | BUF | 16.3 |
12 | David Montgomery | DET | 16.2 |
13 | Chris Carson | @SF | 15.9 |
14 | Melvin Gordon | @OAK | 15.5 |
15 | Le’Veon Bell* | NYG | 15.4 |
16 | David Johnson | @TB | 14.9 |
17 | Devin Singletary | @CLE | 14.5 |
18 | Austin Ekeler | @OAK | 14.2 |
19 | Tevin Coleman | SEA | 13.9 |
20 | Devonta Freeman | @NO | 13.5 |
21 | Ronald Jones | ARI | 13.4 |
22 | Damien Williams | @TEN | 12.9 |
23 | Matt Breida | SEA | 11.6 |
24 | Kenyan Drake | @TB | 10.9 |
25 | Jamaal Williams | CAR | 9.5 |
The gap between Christian McCaffrey and the rest of the field is unreal at this point. He is on pace to close in on the second best season as far as yards from scrimmage go. He gets a strong matchup against the Packers, who have allowed the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. On the flip side of this game, Carolina has also struggled against the pass. It was a quiet week for Aaron Jones in Week 9, but he should bounce back. Jamaal Williams is also a decent flyer if you need a bye week fill-in. There are a lot of middle range backs in good spots this week. Detroit has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, and David Montgomery is finally starting to see a strong workload. He has back to back weeks with 20+ fantasy points. Marlon Mack, Mark Ingram, and Melvin Gordon are all in favorable spots this week.
There are some situations to watch this week, as David Johnson is expected to return. This means Kenyan Drake will share the backfield with Johnson against a tough Tampa Bay run defense. Because volume is iffy and we are not quite sure how they will be used, I am down on them a bit. However, PPR leagues they will have an advantage because of how they can work in the passing game. Melvin Gordon looked fresh last week, and both him and Austin Ekeler can certainly be viable as standalone values in fantasy. Bruce Arians announced that Ronald Jones will be the starter over Peyton Barber. Jones has easily been the better back and is a name to keep an eye on.

44 | Auden Tate | BAL | 7.9 |
45 | James Washington | LAR | 7.2 |
It was a big week for the Tampa Bay wideouts again, but more so Mike Evans. That game was fantasy gold as Tyler Lockett also had a huge day, and DK Metcalf followed. Seattle will have a tougher matchup against San Francisco this week, while the Tampa offense will get Arizona. Michael Thomas is the guy this week going up against Atlanta, who has a bottom five pass defense. Thomas has been extremely productive this season, as Teddy Bridgewater looked better than expected. Tyreek Hill continued his hot stretch, and he will get Tennessee this week. It hasn’t mattered who is under center, but Mahomes is likely back this week. Keenan Allen has been quiet, but he will get Oakland this week, who are allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Both Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk get a bump this week going up against the Buccaneers. They are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. There are some good streaming options this week. If TY Hilton is out, Zach Pascal has been the guy in Indy. He will get a strong matchup against the Dolphins. DeVante Parker has been very productive of late, and Ryan Fitzpatrick has also been able to make them fantasy viable. Preston Williams is out for the year, and there will be targets to go around. Golden Tate and Darius Slayton also get a bump against the Jets, and Sterling Shepard went back into concussion protocol.
Week 10 Tight Ends Rankings

18 | Mike Giseki | @IND | 5.4 |
19 | TJ Hockenson | @CHI | 5.4 |
20 | Kyle Rudolph | @DAL | 5.1 |
George Kittle had a strong game against the Cardinals, and will face another NFC West team this week who struggles against tight ends. Seattle has allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this season. He checks in as the number one tight end again. Hunter Henry is an excellent option this week against Oakland, who has allowed the third most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this season. A sneaky start this week is Gerald Everett. He has been up and down in terms of targets, but the Steelers have allowed the 10th most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. The Rams aren’t far behind, so Vance McDonald is not the worst streaming option this week either.

Teams allowing the most field goal attempts this season are Cincinnati, Denver, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore. Detroit, Arizona, Houston, and Philadelphia are a few other teams worth targeting with kickers, as they give up a lot of volume. Teams that give up the least amount of volume are New England, New Orleans, San Francisco, Oakland, and Minnesota. Volume is ultimately what you want each week. Finding kickers on offenses that move the ball is always a plus for fantasy points at the position. Efficiency would come next.

22 | Tennessee | KC | 5.9 |
23 | Arizona | @TB | 5.7 |
24 | Pittsburgh | LAR | 5.6 |
25 | Atlanta | @NO | 5.4 |
No New England this week to top the rankings, and they had their first down game this year. The Rams check in as the top options this week against a bad Pittsburgh offense. The playmakers are limited given the injuries, and Mason Rudolph in a pass first mode isn’t scaring anyone. Baltimore, New Orleans, Kansas City, and Indy all round out the top five. The usual big names are at the top of the list this week, where teams like Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Seattle are in the middle of the road because of their matchups. The Chiefs, Colts, and Ravens are all strong streaming options in season long given they are not highly owned. DFS prices are pretty fair as well. There is a pretty clear split between the top and bottom defenses this week.
