Week 12 Fantasy Football Notable Injuries: Ravens offense is diminished

This week, we learned that Lamar Jackson, along with Mark Ingram and J.K Dobbins, has all reached the COVID injured reserve list. The game between the Ravens and Steelers game has been moved to next Tuesday. The return of Christian McCaffrey and Austin Ekeler is still highly anticipated with both having a slight chance of playing this week. However, McCaffrey’s owners will most likely have to wait until the first week of fantasy football playoffs in week 13. Check out the other notable injuries for fantasy football below.

Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Marquez-Valdes Scantling (Q): Marquez-Valdes Scantling has a questionable designation this weekend with an Achilles injury that has kept him limited in practice. He is listed as WR65 projection this week around 8 points. If he cannot go, more targets will be on the way for Davante Adams and Allen Lazard.
Chicago Bears
Nick Foles (D): Nick Foles is doubtful for Sunday with a hip injury. The Bears have announced that Mitch Trubisky will start on Sunday in his place. This is good for Jimmy Graham, who is targeted by Mitch quite often. This move does not change the fantasy football value of the Bears’ receivers.
Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Todd Gurley (O): Todd Gurley is surprisingly out for this week with a knee injury. Brian Hill will take the reps for the Falcons, which may be a good idea considering the Raiders give up the 4th most fantasy points per week to running backs.
Hayden Hurst (Q): Hayden Hurst is questionable with an ankle injury this week. He was projected to be a top-five tight end in standings this week.
Julio Jones (Q): Julio Jones is questionable this week with a hamstring injury. He is likely to be a game-time decision. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage should see more targets, especially with Hurst out as well.
Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Chargers

John Brown (O): John Brown is out this week with an ankle injury. More targets to come for Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley this week.
Los Angeles Chargers
Austin Ekeler (IR): Austin Ekeler is still on injured reserve and has not been taken off yet. However, he has been given a small chance to play this season for the first time since week four. If not, Kalen Ballage and Justin Jackson will handle the backfield.
Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Giants

Giovani Bernard (Q): Giovani Bernard is questionable this weekend with a concussion. But, he practiced in full on Friday meaning he has a good chance to play this weekend. If not, Semaje Perine will take over. However, without Joe Burrow, I am not sure how much this offense can do.
Indianpolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

Philip Rivers (Q): Philip Rivers is questionable with a toe injury. He has not practiced this week so owners of him and his wide receivers should check on his status for this week. This may not bode well for Michael Pittman, who has two double-digit games in his return.
Zach Pascal (Q): Zach Pascal did not practice on Thursday with a knee injury that may keep him out on Sunday.
Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings vs. Carolina Panthers

Irv Smith Jr. (D): Irv Smith Jr. is doubtful with a groin injury this weekend. More touches for Kyle Rudolph on the way to fill his spot.
Adam Thielen (IR): Adam Thielen hit the COVID injured reserve list this week and will not play this weekend. Justin Jefferson should get most of the targets this weekend in his place.
Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey (Q): Christian McCaffrey has upgraded from doubtful to questionable with his shoulder injury, but the Panthers are in no rush to get him back on the field. Mike Davis will likely play in his spot, and he has projected 17.4 points without him this weekend.
New England Patriots

New England Patriots vs. Arizona Cardinals

N’Keal Harry (Q): N’Keal Harry is questionable with a shoulder injury this week. The Patriots have been losing a lot of offensive players to injury last week and most likely won’t be able to start many of them.
Julian Edelman (IR): Julian Edelman is on injured reserve until week 13 of this season because of a knee injury.
Rex Burkhead (O): Rex Burkhead is out this week with an ACL injury. He is not on injured reserve yet, which is a good sign for his owners. Damien Harris and Sony Michel will handle the touches in the backfield.
Arizona Cardinals
Larry Fitzgerald (IR): Larry Fitzgerald has reached the COVID injured reserve list this week and will not be present for Sunday’s game. Christian Kirk may see an increase in targets, while Hopkins will maintain as one of the most targeted receivers in the league.
Miami Dolphins

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins

Salvon Ahmed (O): Salvon Ahmed is out this week. Myles Gaskin is posed to make a return from IR and may see most of the carries.
Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns

Gardner Minshew (Q): Gardner Minshew is listed as questionable for this week against the Browns. Jake Luton will start without him.
D.J Chark (O): D.J Chark is out this week with a rib injury. He was projected near 12 points, but is expected to return next week.
Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints

Jerry Jeudy (Q): Jerry Jeudy is questionable this week with an ankle injury. If he cannot go, more targets for Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler should come.
los angeles rams

Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers

Tyler Higbee (Q): Tyler Higbee is questionable with an elbow injury that has kept him from practice this week. More targets to the dynamic duo of Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp to come without him.
San Francisco 49ers
Tevin Coleman (O): While he had hopes of coming back, Tevin Coleman will remain out this week with a knee injury. Raheem Mostert is making his second return of the year on a hopeful day against the Rams.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

All good for fantasy football!
Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks

Zach Ertz (IR): Zach Ertz has not yet been taken off of injured reserve but has the chance to play on Monday night. Where he fits in with Dallas Goedert and Richard Rodgers will be interesting for Ertz’s fantasy value.
Seattle Seahawks
Chris Carson (Q): Chris Carson is questionable with a foot injury and may not play this week. Carlos Hyde will take over in the backfield if he cannot go.
Baltimore Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson (COVID): Lamar Jackson has reached the COVID list. He will be replaced by Robert Griffin on Tuesday night next week.
Mark Ingram (COVID): Mark Ingram has been placed on the IR COVID list on Monday.
J.K Dobbins (COVID): J.K Dobbins was placed on the IR COVID list with Mark Ingram. Gus Edwards will take over in the backfield, but without Lamar, I am not certain how much this offense can produce against the Steelers’ defense.
Mark Andrews (Q): Mark Andrews is questionable this week with a thigh injury that kept him from practicing most of the week.

Post
I have played football, baseball, hockey, golf, and basketball separately when I was young. Now I run cross country and track for DePaul University. My favorite part about sport is the mental strength. I am a big fan of all of the Chicago sports teams that don’t end in “Cubs.”
