Week 12 is going to a difficult weekend for fantasy owners banking some of their team’s success on their placekickers. Many of the best kickers, like Harrison Butker and Zane Gonzales, have byes this week, leaving many fantasy owners to scrounge the waiver wire list, in search of a replacement. While many of the better alternatives are most likely rostered, there are quality sleepers, like Younghoe Koo, who could give your fantasy team the boost it needs on Sunday.

Justin Tucker; Ravens

For the third week in a row, Justin Tucker is the best kicker in fantasy football. Despite missing his first field goal of the season, Tucker is one of only two top-ten fantasy kickers with a 95%+ field goal percentage. Tucker is the best and most reliable kicker in the NFL on a Ravens team that is scoring the most points per game in the NFL. Therefore, Tucker heads into week 12 as the best kicking option.

Josh Lambo; Jags

Josh Lambo is one of the most dependable and accurate kickers in the NFL. He currently has a 95.7% field goal percentage and is averaging 2.3 field goal attempts per game. This season, the Jags placekicker has only missed one PAT and one FG this year, so he is an excellent kicker for owners in leagues that penalize for FG misses. When the Jaguars head to Tennessee to take on the Titans, you can expect a multitude of field goals, making Lambo a great option in week 12.

Matt Gay; Bucs

Matt Gay is the third-best placekicker heading into week 12. This season, Gay has exhibited exceptional accuracy, with an 87% FG percentage, while making 12 out of his 14 field goals from 40+ yards. This week, Gay will go up against a Falcons defense that is allowing the sixth-most points per game. Therefore, Gay will have a lot of opportunities to score PATs and field goals.

Will Lutz; Saints

This season, Will Lutz has scored 86 points and converted on 84% of his field-goal attempts. Lutz has been outstanding when it comes to extra-point tries, making 95.8% of them, with only one missed PAT. Lutz has displayed quality accuracy from 40+ yards out, by making nearly 70% of his kicks from this range. Lutz is averaging the third-highest FG attempts per game amongst kickers with at least ten FG tries. With Will on a high powered Saints team, you can expect him to be quality kicker this Sunday.

Younghoe Koo

Younghoe Koo is a fantasy sleeper in most leagues, with only 5.9% of ESPN fantasy leagues owning him. Over the past three weeks, the Falcons are averaging four field-goal attempts per game, which overwhelmingly leads the NFL. Koo has been perfect from the XP range this season and is a top ten kicker in terms of FG percentage. According to ESPN Fantasy Football, Koo is currently averaging the most fantasy points amongst placekickers, making him an intriguing pick up for your team.

Greg Zuerlein; Rams

With Rams quarterback Jared Goff struggling offensively, the Rams have been forced to settle for the sixth-most field goal attempts in the NFL. As a result, Legatron has been a quality kicking option, especially from 50+ yards, where he has made 80% of his FG attempts. Moreover, the seasoned veteran has been perfect with his extra-point attempts in 2019. You can count on Greg Zuerlein to be utilized against a Baltimore Ravens defense that is restricting opponents to the sixth-lowest TD percentage in the red zone.

Matt Prater; Lions

Matt Prater has been a satisfactory placekicker for Detroit this season. Prater currently has an 85% field goal percentage, and 96.2% PAT percentage this year, missing only three FGs and one XP. This week, Prater and the Lions are going against a tanking Redskins team is giving up 25.7 points per game over the past three weeks (ninth-most in the league). Consequently, Prater is a reliable placekicker, especially in leagues that penalize for missed field goals.

Brett Maher; Cowboys

Due to the abundance of field goals that Dallas is attempting this season, Brett Maher is an excellent fantasy option in week 12. Dallas is currently averaging 2.7 field-goal tries over the past three weeks, which is the fifth-most in the league. Additionally, Maher is one of the few kickers who has been perfect with XP attempts. The Cowboys are averaging the fourth-most points per game this season, so expect Maher to get a healthy share of PATs against the Patriots.

Chris Boswell

Chris Boswell is lineups.com’s fourth highest-rated kicker amongst kickers with at least 20 FG attempts. This season, Boswell has an astounding 90% FG percentage and has been perfect with extra points. In fact, Boswell is the only kicker this season who has 70+ points, a 90%+ FG percentage, and a 100% PAT rate. The Steelers are going up against an abysmal Bengals team that is surrendering the fifth-most points per game, which means that Boswell will have a good share of kicking opportunities.

Joey Slye

Joey Sly rounds out the top ten list for fantasy kickers due to his matchup and offense. This season, the Panthers are tied for the sixth-most field goal attempts, and Slye has made the most of his opportunities in recent weeks (Slye has only missed one FG since week seven). Also, the Panthers and are going against a Saints defense that is holding opponents to the third-lowest TD percentage in the red-zone for three straight games. This indicates that Slye will be used a lot, especially given Kyle Allen’s struggles in the red-zone.
