Rough week for wide receiver byes, and we still have injuries to deal with. Brandin Cooks remains in concussion protocol, while T.Y. Hilton remains a question mark. However they have some decent fill-in options. As far as byes go this week, Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, and the Arizona wideouts will rest up. The bye week does come at a good time for Adam Thielen, who can hopefully come back from the hamstring injury. To win those fantasy football leagues, you are going to have to win the waiver wire as well. You can find the top wide receivers to pick up by rank for this upcoming week.

Week 12 WR Waiver Wire Pickups

Deebo Samuel – San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel has been crushing over the last few weeks. While we can point to the injuries of George Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders for why he is getting double-digit targets, but he is taking advantage of it. Over the last three weeks, Samuel has seen 7, 11, and 10 targets. He has caught 20 of those, and has back-to-back 100+ yard games. Samuel has flashed his talent throughout the season, but consistency is starting to build of late. Even when Sanders and Kittle come back, Samuel has established himself as the WR2 in the 49ers offense. Over the next few weeks, the 49ers are going to be in some big games against Green Bay, Baltimore, and New Orleans. All three rank in the top half against the pass, but it isn’t something to shy away from. However, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Seattle are on the outside of the top half against the pass, which are the three opponents that round out the season.

DeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins

I’m not quite sure why DeVante Parker continues to float around the waiver wire in over 50% of leagues. He is coming off a season high in receiving yards (135) against the 9th best pass defense. Targets also continue to be a plus, as he has 44 over the last five weeks. Parker has been above double-digit fantasy PPR points in all but two games this season, and has scored double-digits in seven straight games. Ryan Fitzpatrick is clearly an upgrade for the Miami passing attack, and we know they will be chasing games given how bad they are. Parker has a terrific schedule moving forward, where he faces Cleveland, Philly, both New York teams, Cincinnati, and New England. Of course the Patriots are a tough matchup, but that comes in Week 17 where your fantasy leagues should be over. If not, god help your league.

Zach Pascal – Indianapolis Colts

Zach Pascal has had a wide range of outcomes of late, where he has posted 28, 1, 18, 4 and 3 PPR fantasy point games over the last five. T.Y. Hilton’s injury has opened the door for Pascal to have this opportunity, and that would slip when he comes back. Hilton’s injury doesn’t seem to be progressing, so Pascal remains on the radar. Devin Funchess returning isn’t going to knock him down much, and Parris Campbell is still dealing with a hand injury. Over the last five games, Pascal has seen 30 targets. If Hilton remains out the next few weeks, Pascal will get Houston, Tennessee, and Tampa Bay. All rank below 20th against the pass. This would be a great run for Pascal if he can keep this type of workload.

Randall Cobb – Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys passing attack has been a high point in fantasy this season. While Randall Cobb is the third option within the receivers, he has come alive over the last few weeks. The targets have also been there, with 23 over the last three games. Cobb has tough matchups over the next few weeks against New England, Buffalo, and Chicago. However, Cobb is worth a shot in deeper leagues given the volume has been there of late. The back-to-back 100+ yard games are a boost, which this is the first time in a while Cobb has put together a small streak of fantasy relevance. Give Cobb a look.

Josh Reynolds – Los Angeles Rams

It was a weird week for the Rams, as Robert Woods was ruled inactive just before the game. Brandin Cooks was out due to a concussion, which is still something to monitor. Josh Reynolds saw six targets against Chicago, going for 3-55-0. He has 8, 5, and 6 targets since he entered a starter’s role. Reynolds also had a 50-yard touchdown called back against the Bears, so that could have been a bigger game. We have seen Reynolds be the guy filling in, even dating back to last year where Cooper Kupp was out. While he has had back to back mediocre games, they were touch matchups. Baltimore, Arizona, Seattle, and Dallas are on the horizon for the Rams. The Ravens are tough, but the rest are all bottom half defenses against the pass.

Hunter Renfrow – Cincinnati Bengals

In deep PPR leagues, Hunter Renfrow has been viable. He fits well with Derek Carr, who has been checking down and taking the safe bet. His efficiency this season has benefitted Renfrow. He has 19 receptions over the last four weeks, and has posted double-digit fantasy point games in three of the last four games. Positive matchups will continue to be there against the pass in the next few weeks, and the volume should continue to be there, with 23 targets over the last four games.
