Lamar Jackson is continuing his MVP-like season with his five-touchdown performance on Monday night against the Rams. Jeff Driskel is still the Lions’ quarterback for injured Matthew Stafford. Mitchell Trubisky is hanging in as the Bears’ quarterback with a decent performance this week. Dwayne Haskins keeps trying to develop as an NFL quarterback. I will be going through the top quarterbacks from last week and looking at who you should be looking at moving into next week. Here are my Week 13 quarterback rankings.

Big Week 13

lamar jacksonLamar Jackson has been the most dominant quarterback all season and he had quite possibly his best game this season last week. He threw for just 169 yards but had five touchdowns as well as 95 yards on the ground. His five touchdowns match his season-high record. He is on pace to break Patrick Mahomes’ fantasy point record from last year. This was also the eighth game in a row where Jackson had over 60 rushing yards and the third game in a row with 4+ total touchdowns. He is looking like the top MVP candidate with Russell Wilson recently struggling as an individual player. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens take on the 49ers next week who bring the top pass defense in the league. I wouldn’t worry about Jackson because of his running ability. When options run out downfield, his ability to scramble for yards makes him a top quarterback nonetheless. He rocked the Patriots a few weeks back on the ground despite them being the best defense in the league. There is no reason to not feel confident in starting Jackson this week. Ryan Tannehill was also on fire last week. He threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns but also showed off his rushing ability. He was able to scramble around for 40 yards with an additional two touchdowns. Tannehill has been one of the overlooked quarterbacks this year. He is owned in just 15.4% of leagues but puts up good numbers each week with five consecutive games with multiple touchdowns. In fact, he has only played in six games this season with just his first one coming without a touchdown. The Titans’ next opponent, the Colts, has struggled recently and is vulnerable to the offensive attack that the Titans can bring.

Overlooked?

sam darnoldSam Darnold has recently emerged as a top-scoring quarterback in the past three weeks. Last week, he threw for 315 yards, which is his second-highest total, with two touchdowns. He also pulled off a rushing touchdown. After looking horrible against the Patriots and Jaguars when he returned from mono, he has severely limited his turnovers. He has thrown just two total interceptions in the last four games while throwing for eight touchdowns. His next two matchups are favorable as well. He faces the Bengals next week and the Dolphins the following week. The Bengals have allowed the sixth-most points and the Dolphins have allowed the most. It might be a good move to snag up Darnold this week if you are streaming quarterbacks.

Good Matchups

nick folesNick Foles faces off against the Buccaneers this week who have been among the worst against the pass all season. Foles didn’t have that bad of a game last week against the Titans despite the scoreboard. He threw for 272 yards and spread the ball out well with five players over four receptions. As D.J. Chark continues to grow as a top receiver, Foles’ value will only go up. He is a good option for streaming as he is only owned in 23.3% of leagues. Jared Goff is also a nice option this week. The Rams play the Cardinals who are the worst defense against the pass. Not only that, they have allowed the most passing touchdowns in the league. Goff should be a top quarterback with all the options he has to throw to but has struggled this year. If he can get the ball to his playmakers like Cooper Kupp or Robert Woods, they are able to move the ball easily.

Bad Matchups

deshaun WatsonDeshaun Watson will have a tougher time this week against the Patriots. He had a nice game last week against the Colts with 298 yards and two touchdowns. HIs production through the air is likely to go down this week. Just two weeks ago, he had his worst game in which he had 169 yards and two turnovers. While his running ability will still give him some value, it does not look very promising for Watson, seeing how the Patriots have been able to stifle even the best quarterbacks. Dak Prescott will again have a tough matchup this week. Having to go from playing the Patriots to the Bills is not what the Cowboys want, but they will have to deal with it. Prescott threw for a season-low 212 yards last week without a touchdown and an interception. The Bills don’t present much of a better matchup as they are the third-best defense against the pass and have allowed the second-lowest passing touchdowns with 7 in 11 games. It might be a good option to look elsewhere this week, seeing how the Cowboys did last week against the Patriots.
