Week 14 WR Waiver Pickups & Adds: Deebo Samuel Continues To Get His

There are some similar names to last week listed below as they were not picked up enough to drop them off the list. Finally DeVante Parker has reached an ownership where I can stop writing about him. Some injury news for wideouts, we will need to watch Julio Jones, who missed out on the Thanksgiving Day game. Adam Thielen was supposed to be back after the bye, but was ruled out against Seattle. I also would not expect AJ Green to be back in any shape or form moving forward. The Colts also have three wide receivers dealing with injuries, as Hilton, Rogers, and Campbell are all missing time. To win those fantasy football leagues, you are going to have to win the waiver wire as well. You can find the top wide receivers to pick up by rank for this upcoming week.

Week 14 WR Waiver Wire Pickups

Deebo Samuel – San Francisco 49ers

Despite having everyone back and healthy, Deebo Samuel has continued to produce on big plays. He has six targets over the past two weeks, which is a downside compared to the 21 the prior two weeks before that. Even with lower targets, Samuel is still a strong pick up after being WR10 over the last five games. Over the next four weeks, Samuel will face the 11th, 14th, 20th, and 29th ranked passing defenses. Although the Saints at 11 might have taken a hit if Lattimore is out. Samuel is a big play threat, and he has 172 yards after the catch, and 29% of the air yards in San Francisco over the last five weeks.

Robby Anderson – New York Jets

Robby Anderson saw a season high ten targets last week, and has posted back to back weeks over 15 PPR points. Targets have been up and down for Anderson this season, and so has the passing game in general. Anderson will have Miami this week, and then will face tougher matchups the rest of the way. With the Jets airing it out of late, Anderson is a dart throw as a WR3 or FLEX option moving forward. At this time of the year, we are diving into names that have a lower floor, but Anderson’s upside has been shown. Anderson is currently ranked inside the top 20 in air yards over the last five weeks, with 439.

Randall Cobb – Dallas Cowboys

Randall Cobb posted his lowest score since Week 9, and saw his  lowest target total since Week 7. After posting strong weeks this was the first game where he was a let down. He has been able to beat some better secondaries, so the next few games are going to be fine. Cobb is WR16 over the last five weeks, and has seen 30 targets over the last four games, catching 20 of them for 342 yards and two scores. After the Bears next week, they will have the Rams, Eagles, and Redskins. Three secondaries you can easily attack right now. Cobb has 74.5 PPR points over the last five weeks, and deserves to at least be picked up.

Zach Pascal – Indianapolis Colts

Zach Pascal is coming off of a big week against the Titans, where he posted a 7-109-0 line on ten targets. It was good to see him back in a higher target total given things dropped off the prior week. With Hilton and Campbell banged up, and also Ebron on the IR, Pascal should be in line for steady targets over the next few weeks. He is in an excellent spot against the Buccaneers for Week 14, as they have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Pascal has seen 404 air yards over the last four weeks, which is the same as DeAndre Hopkins, and 31% of the Colts air yards. He has an average depth of target at 13.5.

James Washington – Pittsburgh Steelers

It was another big week for James Washington, as he continues to produce big scores with JuJu Smith-Schuster out. Over the last five games, Washington is WR19, and has produced more fantasy points than some big names. While Buffalo is a tough matchup, Washington will see Arizona and New York, who rank 17th and 28th against the pass. Over the last four weeks, Washington has 434 air yards, which is inside the top 25. His aDot is sitting at 16.1, and he has 32% of the air yards in Pittsburgh.

Russell Gage – Atlanta Falcons

Russell Gage’s fantasy value depends on Julio Jones health. Gage had nine targets against New Orleans, posting a 5-52-1 line. He had ten targets the week before with an 8-76-0 line. He has seen a tick up in snaps with Mohamed Sanu out of town, which was a plus, but now consistent targets could be in line depending on the injury news to Jones. If Jones is back, Gage is a tough start over the next few weeks.

Auden Tate – Cincinnati Bengals

Auden Tate’s stock dropped when Andy Dalton hit the bench, but with him back under center we already saw a slight bounce back with a 4-66-0 line against the Jets on seven targets, which was his highest amount of targets since before the bye. Tate is also getting 30% of the red zone targets, which is a big number in comparison to the rest of the wideouts. The problem is the conversion rate is not high. Either way, Tate will trend upwards the rest of the year with Dalton back under center.
