The Steelers have been rolling over teams defensively. They added to their list of touchdowns last week with a punt return touchdown. They also picked off Kyler Murray 3 times while also sacking him 5 times. To all those that started either the Saints or 49ers’ defense, ouch. I will be going over my top waiver wire adds for Week 15. All the defenses I choose are owned in under 60% of leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs

Opponent: Denver Broncos
Own %: 23.8

Kansas City ChiefsThe Chiefs’ defense had a difficult matchup last week against the Patriots, yet they performed near the top of defenses for the week. They held one of the top-scoring offenses to 16 points while also getting an interception, a blocked kick, and three sacks. The week before, they rolled over the Raiders and even got a touchdown. This week, they take on the Broncos who have been on the low end of scoring throughout the year. They average just 18.2 points per game even after scoring 38 last week against the Texans.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Opponent: Detroit Lions
Own %: 6.9

Tampa Bay BuccaneersThe Buccaneers have torn it up defensively as of late apart from last week. Against the Falcons, they had a touchdown, two turnovers, and six sacks. Against the Jaguars the following week, they had another touchdown, four turnovers, and five sacks. Both weeks they were among the top-scoring defenses for the week. Their next matchup is against the Lions who are using their third-string quarterback and backup running back. Last week, they put up only 7 points. In fact, they haven’t scored above 20 points in the last three games.

Green Bay Packers

Opponent: Chicago Bears
Own %: 57.9

Green Bay PackersThe Packers have had a two-game stretch of great defensive performances and that is likely to continue to this week. They have held the Giants to 13 points with three interceptions and held the Redskins to 15 points while gaining one interception and four sacks. Both offenses are on the bottom end of productive offenses and they play another one of those teams this week with the Bears. The Bears 18.7 points per game and with the roll that the Packers are on, it shouldn’t be difficult to keep them under that this week.

Tennessee Titans

Opponent: Houston Texans
Own %: 32.6

Tennessee TitansThe Titans have secretly been one of the top-scoring fantasy defenses this year, yet they have gone under the radar. They have picked up a touchdown in each of the past two weeks so they are on a hot stretch. Last week against the Raiders, they had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and the week before against the Colts was a blocked field goal for a touchdown. The Texans normally give a poor matchup, but the Broncos showed that it is possible to rack up points against them last week. With the playoffs on the line, the Titans will be giving everything out there.

Indianapolis Colts

Opponent: New Orleans Saints
Own %: 53.4

Indianpolis ColtsThis pick would be a bit of risky pick-up, but it could really pay off if it goes well. The Colts’ ability to create turnovers this season has resulted in a lot of fantasy points. Last week, they had 4 turnovers with a touchdown. The only problem with the Colts is they give up a lot of points. The Saints are a team that can either score a ton or they look incapable. Depending on the kind of Saints’ offense that shows up, the Colts could turn into a great fantasy defense this week with all the turnovers that they can create.

Los Angeles Chargers

Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
Own %: 36.2

Los Angeles ChargersThe Chargers are coming off a good but not huge defensive performance against the Jaguars last week. They held them to just 10 points and had two sacks. They didn’t have many flashy plays and didn’t even pick up a turnover, but it was a solid defensive game to build off of going into this week. The Vikings don’t provide the greatest matchup, but a defensive performance like the one the Chargers gave last week provides momentum going into the game.
