Week 15 Kicker Rankings & Pickups: Tyler Bass Tops The Rankings

Mike Nugent was the leader in scoring among kickers for Week 14 after he had a spot start for Zane Gonzalez on the Cardinals. Rodrigo Blankenship and Greg Zuerlein joined him. A lot of the bigger names failed to produce this week, which this is not the time to be struggling as fantasy playoffs are among us. Jason Myers, Cairo Santos, and Dustin Hopkins were the other big scores this week. Wil Lutz was the biggest name to not produce but Dan Bailey was easily the make that sunk a lot of teams as he missed three kicks. Looking at Week 15 we have a lot of high-scoring matchups and most of these kickers project very well.

Top Week 15 Kickers

Tyler Bass is the number one option this week as he faces Denver. Bass has already been a high-scoring kicker over the last few weeks and whenever offenses begin to flourish, kickers see more opportunity. Against Denver, kickers have averaged 9.8 fantasy points per game. The Broncos are allowing over two attempts per game. Bass has scored 14, 18, 11, 10, and 8 fantasy points over his last five games. Justin Tucker is coming off another solid week and gets the Jaguars. This should be an easy win for Baltimore and a chance to put a ton of points on the board. Jacksonville has allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to kickers on the season.

Rodrigo Blankenship has been steady this season and faces the Texans this week, who have allowed seven fantasy points per game. While they haven’t allowed a ton of attempts because the defense struggles to keep teams out of the end zone, they haven’t allowed a ton. But looking at the Colts moving the ball and what Blankenship is producing, negates it a bit. Younghoe Koo can rely upon this week against the Buccaneers. This game should have plenty of scoring on both sides.

Streaming Options

Greg Zuerlein (24%) is a strong streaming option this week. He is coming off a great game against the Bengals. Zuerlein has been a boom or bust option this year as the Dallas offense has certainly not been as consistent when it comes to moving the ball. Against the 49ers, Dallas should be able to move the ball well and the 49ers have allowed 30 attempts in 13 games this season and opposing kickers have averaged 8.5 fantasy points per game.

Mason Crosby (39%) is in a great spot this week as the Panthers are allowing the 10th most fantasy points per game. Sometimes Crosby’s upside is a bit capped because the Packers are so good at finding the end zone over field goal attempts. Crosby has averaged 7.9 fantasy points per game this season and is a better floor play in comparison to Zuerlein.

Tough Week 15 Kicking Matchups

There are not a lot of high-end kickers in tough spots this week but Nick Folk isn’t someone you want to go out and stream this week. He faces the Dolphins, who have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game. This should be a pretty sluggish game when it comes to points overall and I don’t trust either kicker to do enough damage to be noteworthy. Kaimi Fairbairn is another one as the Colts have held kickers to the 9th fewest fantasy points per game. Stephen Gostkowski faces the Lions this week, who have allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points per game. Tennessee will put up a big number this week but if it all comes via extra points for Gostowski, it will be a mediocre score.
