Week 15 Top Options

Baltimore RavensOnly the Steelers are scoring more fantasy points than the Ravens over the last five games. Baltimore continues to be one of the top fantasy defenses, averaging double-digit fantasy points in that span. They are on a short week against the Jets, and will continue to want to win out for home field in the AFC. They will welcome the Jets, who have allowed the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses this season. Of course New England on the road against the Bengals is a plus matchup for them. Cincinnati has allowed over 40 sacks this season, and have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game. After San Francisco struggled against New Orleans, they will go back home against Atlanta, who continue to struggle protecting Matt Ryan, and the turnover upside is going to be there for them as well.

The Saints will welcome the Colts on Monday Night Football, and they should be able to limit this offense that doesn’t have much to offer anymore given the injuries. They project well even if the Colts can rack up some garbage time. The Steelers and Bills game can play out like the Ravens and Bills game this week where both fantasy defenses can provide solid numbers. Each offense isn’t great and the record is there because of their defenses. Philadelphia are in must win mode, and the defense needs to play well against Washington this week. They are allowing the 10th most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses this season.

Seattle SeahawksThe Packers are still floating around 50% of leagues, so you can fire them up against the Bears, where they put up five sacks, one interception, and allowed three points against them earlier this season. Green Bay has been able to beef up their fantasy points against poorer teams, and we have seen it in each of the last two weeks against the Giants and Redskins, where they posted double-digit fantasy points. Lesser owned defenses, the Seahawks are worth a look on the road against Carolina. This is a team that is now out of the playoff hunt, and Kyle Allen has been shaky this season. Seattle has posted some big fantasy weeks of late, and have forced over eight turnovers in the last three games. The Panthers have allowed the 8th most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses this season.

Fantasy Viable Defenses In Tough Spots

Chicago BearsChicago’s run defense continues to be an issue, and that could spell trouble against the Packers this week. Green Bay is allowing the third fewest fantasy points to opposing defense this season. There just isn’t a ton of defensive upside against this team. The Rams on the road against Dallas is another one. Dallas can put up points even if the offense struggles, and they do not allow sacks or turn the ball over. I am looking elsewhere. Denver is on the road against Kansas City, and that is not a good spot for defenses, also with Minnesota going to visit the Chargers, I am not enamored with the Chargers defense against this offense. There are a lot of great spots to go with this week, and I would look to the above options as defense to replace the ones named here.
