Tight end is one of the most unpredictable positions in fantasy football, especially in the beginning of the season. However, as the season progresses, we begin to figure out each team’s tendencies and who quarterbacks like to target. Week 15 Studs
Surprise, surprise the top 3 tight end spots are being held by George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Zach Ertz. A little bit of a shakeup in the top 3 with Zach Ertz leading the charge over Kelce and Kittle. Scoring 2 touchdowns in week 14’s surprisingly close game against the New York Giants. Ertz has seen double digit targets in 4 of the past 5 weeks, totaling his best fantasy performance in week 14 scoring 30.1 fantasy points. News has recently come out telling us that Alshon Jeffrey, the #1 wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, will potentially miss the rest of the season. The Eagles wide receiver core has been in shambles for almost the entire season, having to bring up wide receivers from the practice squad, namely Greg Ward Jr. and needed to start those players. Facing the Washington Redskins in week 15 who rank 24th against opposing fantasy tight ends. A very plus matchup for the Eagles’ tight end who will be benefitting from no Alshon Jeffrey, no DeSean Jackson, potentially no Nelson Agholor, and possibly having a player who was on the practice squad just a few weeks ago as their #1 wide receiver. There could not possibly be a better opportunity for Zach Ertz to explode this week against the Washington Redskins.
Rounding out the rest of the top 3 tight ends is George Kittle and Travis Kelce. Kittle had himself another great game against the New Orleans Saints. Carrying his team, and even a few Saints defenders, to a big win in what is probably the best game of the season. Catching 6 of 8 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown totaling 18.7 fantasy points. Kittle will face the Atlanta Falcons defense in week 15 who rank 18th against opposing fantasy tight ends. Expect Kittle to continue to perform and produce for your fantasy team. Travis Kelce, the #1 fantasy tight end on the year, had himself another great game in week 14 against the New England Patriots totaling 18 fantasy points. Catching 7 of 9 targets for 66 yards, including a rushing attempt for 4 yards and a rushing touchdown. Facing the Denver Broncos in week 15 who rank 13th against opposing fantasy tight ends. The last time Kelce faced the Broncos in week 7, Kelce was held to just 10.8 fantasy points (2nd lowest of his season). A tough matchup who had previously held Kelce to a relatively low fantasy total is why he is below both Kittle and Ertz. Kelce is still a must start no matter what.
Tight End Streamers For Week 15
When looking for streamers, finding players who are under the radar and have a plus matchup, offensive involvement, and the targets in previous weeks. Players listed in this streamers section will be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. The first player is the teammate of one of the fantasy studs, Dallas Goedert. Goedert is a great streaming option for many of the same reasons that Zach Ertz is the top fantasy tight end this week. Goedert is a cemented piece of this offense despite having fumbling issues. Goedert will benefit from the Eagles’ beat up receiver core, a plus matchup against the Washington Redskins, and an already established piece of the passing game. Goedert is my top streaming option at tight end.
Somewhat of a sleeper pick this week is Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (23.0% Rostered). Coming off of injury in time to play against the Bengals in week 14. The freaky athletic tight end had a disappointing return to the Browns offense, only catching 1 of 3 targets for 4 yards. However, only playing 38% of the snaps against the Bengals. That will surely increase for the former 1st round draft pick. Facing the worst defense against tight ends in week 15, the Arizona Cardinals almost forget to defend opposing tight ends. This is a great matchup for the incredibly talented tight end to make a splash for the Cleveland Browns this week.
Another streamer for week 15 is Denver Broncos tight end Noah Fant (29.7% Rostered). Another insanely talented tight end who was drafted in the first round of his respective draft. Fant just had an incredible game against the Houston Texans in week 14 catching all 4 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown. Averaging an insane 28.3 yards per reception. Fant has seemingly benefitted from the change to Drew Lock at quarterback. Exposing the below averaging defense against tight ends in the Texans. Fant will face an even better matchup in the Kansas City Chiefs. Ranking 28th against opposing fantasy tight ends this season. Fant did exit the week 14 matchup early due to injury. However, being reported as a bruised foot and hip irritation does not sound serious enough to keep him out of week 15 but it is something to monitor through the week. A great matchup and the explosiveness of Fant’s play makes him a tight end streamer in week 15.

Tight End Busts For Week 15
Tight ends are one of the most susceptible positions to bust games. The bust tight end for week 15 is the Dallas Cowboys veteran tight end Jason Witten. Ranking as the 9th best tight end this season in fantasy football. The Dallas Cowboys have been faltering a lot recently, losing 4 of the past 5 games. In week 14 Witten had a “meh” game against the Chicago Bears. Catching 5 of 7 targets for 37 yards totaling 8.7 fantasy points in a plus matchup. Witten and the Cowboys will host the Los Angeles Rams in week 15. The Rams rank as the 7th best defense against opposing fantasy tight ends. Averaging just 5.5 targets per game this season and just 8.6 yards per target. The explosive tight end plays have been designated for backup tight end Blake Jarwin, who is only 144 yards behind Jason Witten with almost half of Witten’s targets. Jason Witten is a touchdown dependent tight end. With the Cowboys faltering as of recently and the Rams defense being a top-10 defensive unit in the NFL this season. Witten will struggle against a tough Los Angeles Rams defense in week 15.
