Deebo Samuel Vs. Atlanta

Atlanta is allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, and I love Deebo Samuel to continue his hot play of late. He has posted double-digit fantasy points in PPR and .5 PPR leagues in five straight games, and has either 100+ yards or a touchdown in four of the last five. San Francisco should roll Atlanta in this game as far as the offense goes.

Allen Hurns @ New York

This one depends on the status of DeVante Parker, who left last week’s game with a concussion. If Parker is out, Allen Hurns is someone to start. Albert Wilson is also dealing with a concussion, which opens up targets for Hurns. He ended up with eight targets last week after all the carnage. He finished with a 5-68-0 line. This week he gets the Giants, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. New York ranks 28th in DVOA against the pass.

A.J. Brown Vs. Houston

A.J. Brown has been boom or bust this season, and is coming off of a monster week against Oakland. He gets Houston this week, who rank 27th against the pass, and have allowed some monster games to big wide receivers. Brown is worthy of a start again even if he isn’t seeing monster volume. Ryan Tannehill has provided fantasy value to these pass-catching options, which is not something I thought I would be saying in 2019.

Chris Conley @ Oakland

With D.J. Chark out, Chris Conley is a waiver wire pickup for the rest of the season, and a WR3 or FLEX start against Oakland. The Raiders are allowing the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season, and they rank 31st in DVOA against the pass. Both Conley and Westbrook are strong starts this week against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.

Terry McLaurin Vs. Philadelphia

Terry McLaurin came through last week against Green Bay, and is in a good spot this week. Philly is a middle of the road pass defense, and that might be being generous. They are allowing the third most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, and the sixth most over the last five weeks. Since Dwayne Haskins has come into play, McLaurin has struggled a bit in fantasy production, but this is a week where he can get by.

James Washington @ Buffalo

With JuJu Smith-Schuster possibly returning, and the Steelers offense still being below average, it is tough to start any of their wide receivers against Buffalo’s 5th ranked pass defense. They are also allowing the third fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. This is going to be a low scoring game where offense isn’t highly projected.

John Ross Vs. New England

Those wanting to start John Ross, wait until next week against Miami. He takes on New England this week, who have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Ross is a boom or bust candidate anyway, and with Auden Tate out I would expect the workload to trend upwards, however this is a tough week for the Bengals offense.

Robby Anderson @ Baltimore

After some big games, this is a matchup where Robby Anderson’s floor is back to below six-seven fantasy points. Over the last five games, the Ravens are allowing the third fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Anderson’s targets have been up of late, and the fantasy points might lean you towards starting him, but this isn’t the matchup where he can thrive.

Sammy Watkins Vs. Denver

Denver is still a top half pass defense, and I struggle starting Sammy Watkins against them this week. The Chiefs offense has been up and down since Patrick Mahomes return, and Watkins has been down since the first week of the season. The Broncos have allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Watkins hasn’t surpassed double-digit PPR points since November 3rd.
