Michael Gallup @ Philadelphia

Michael Gallup is coming off of a 1-6-0 line against the Rams, and both him and Amari Cooper did not make a peep in a game where the Dallas offense went off. That will be different this week against Philadelphia, who are just getting shredded through the air. They are also getting beat through the air by some below average offenses. The Eagles have allowed the 6th most fantasy points per game in PPR scoring leagues, and the 7th most over the last five weeks. Gallup and Cooper should go off this week.

D.K. Metcalf Vs. Arizona

The Seahawks have the highest implied total of the week, which isn’t a surprise going up against Arizona’s defense. I love the passing game this week, as most will. Arizona has allowed the 8th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. They rank 28th against the pass, and DK Metcalf is in an upside spot where he could make a further push for the rookie of the year. He has seen at least six targets in all but one game over the last two months, and has three 70+ yard receiving games in the last five games.

Tyler Boyd @ Miami

It was a tough matchup for this weekend for Tyler Boyd, and as many have done against the Patriots, he struggled. It is a bounce back week for Boyd against the Dolphins, as he should eat against this secondary. They rank dead last against the pass, and have allowed the fourth most PPR points to opposing wide receivers this season. Boyd continues to dominate targets in Cincinnati as well.

James Washington @ New York Jets

With JuJu Smith-Schuster questionable and very iffy again for this week’s game, I do not have much concern for James Washington’s targets. He also gets the Jets who have allowed the 10th most PPR points to opposing wide receivers, and can give up the deep ball as well. Washington is coming off a season high in targets, and has posted double-digit fantasy points in three of the last four games and four of the last six.

Terry McLaurin Vs. New York Giants

There was a slow burn in the middle of the season for Terry McLaurin, and he has produced back to back games with a touchdown and over 180 receiving yards. He gets another strong NFC East matchup this week going up against the Giants, who have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. McLaurin should keep things rolling into another decent matchup next week.

Brandin Cooks @ San Francisco

The positive from last week is that Brandin Cooks saw eight targets, although that is likely more geared towards the Rams playing from three scores behind most of the game. Cooks has not scored double-digit fantasy points since back in September. This is the first time he has surpassed five targets since October 20th, and it is hard to continue to trot him out. Even with the 49ers defense banged up, this secondary is tough to target.

Julian Edelman Vs. Buffalo

This more comes down to Julian Edelman might be playing through something more serious that expected. For anyone who missed watching the Patriots game, Edelman played under 70% of the snaps and struggled to move around the field. He had just five targets, which is the fewest he has seen since Week 2, and caught just two balls for nine yards. Mix in a banged up Edelman with Buffalo, who are allowing the fourth most fantasy points per game, I have a lot of concern. We will have to monitor heading into the weekend.

Robby Anderson Vs. Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has allowed the 10th fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season, and the 5th fewest over the last five weeks. Pittsburgh ranks 5th against the pass, and I have little hope for the Jets offense even at home this week. Robby Anderson has put together a decent stretch over the final few games, but has been matchup dependent. This is not one for high hopes. While he hit double-digit PPR points last week, it was nothing too exciting at just 10.6.

Zach Pascal Vs. Carolina

This is more of a round up for the Colts wide receivers. T.Y. Hilton did end up playing against the Saints, but struggled to play normal snaps or make an impact. Even a hindered Hilton is going to limit Zach Pascal’s potential, and this offense overall is just struggling. The sad thing is that Carolina is bleeding fantasy points to wide receivers, and this is a great matchup, yet extremely hard to trust. With Week 16 bringing a lot of wide receivers with more consistent roles, I will look elsewhere.

Sammy Watkins Vs. Chicago

Chicago is still a top half pass defense, and I struggle starting Sammy Watkins against them this week. The Chiefs offense has been up and down since Patrick Mahomes return, and Watkins has been down since the first week of the season. The Bears have allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Watkins hasn’t surpassed double-digit PPR points since November 3rd.
