Lamar Jackson is out this week due to the Ravens wrapping things up in the AFC. Most of the games this week don’t have names resting, which helps out a bit, but a lot of teams are out of the playoff picture. We will still look at matchups that present a strong fantasy production, and focus less on the if they are going to play their hardest noise. Jared Goff and the Rams are one of them. They were eliminated from the playoff picture last week, and this week they get Arizona, who have allowed 26.1 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. The potential is there for Goff to go off again, as he did against Arizona a few weeks ago. Green Bay is on the road against Detroit, who are allowing the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Aaron Rodgers upside is there in a game Green Bay needs to still win. Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan square off against each other this week, who are allowing the 7th and 8th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Sam Darnold have put up stronger second halves in terms of fantasy points, but run into the Bills and Patriots this week. Philip Rivers, Derek Carr, and Kyler Murray have some tougher matchups.

Injuries have derailed the position a bit with the Josh Jacobs limbo still happening, but now Chris Carson is done for the year. The top backs are still in prime positions for Week 17. Alvin Kamara finally found the end zone and had a monster week against the Titans. He will get the Panthers this week, who rank dead last against the run, and are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Ezekiel Elliott is in a spot to really crush this week, as Washington have allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to running backs. Derrick Henry is the big question mark this week. His hamstring kept him out last week, and we do think he will play this week but do keep an eye out this week for practice reports. Houston has allowed the 10th most fantasy points per game, and overall are not a strong rush defense. Joe Mixon should be over his stomach bug from last week and both him and Nick Chubb are in decent matchups against each other. Cleveland and Cincinnati have allowed the 6th and 9th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

There are a few secondaries to target heavily in Week 17. Tampa Bay is of course one of them allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Julio Jones and Austin Hooper are the two big bumps here, but Russell Gage also in a decent spot for deeper leagues. The Eagles and Giants squaring off put two secondaries that have struggled mostly this season. The Giants and Eagles are allowing the 3rd and 4th most fantasy points per game this season to wideouts. Davante Adams is in a great spot to end the year, with Detroit allowing the 6th most fantasy points. Buffalo’s wideouts are in a great spot against the Jets bottom ten ranked pass defense, and are allowing the 8th most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season.

Tyler Higbee continued to roll despite Gerald Everett returning from injury, and Higbee should continue to see solid snaps and targets. He also gets Arizona this week, who have allowed the most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. George Kittle is also in a prime spot with Seattle allowing the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this season. I love Austin Hooper to go out with a bang in Week 17. He gets Tampa Bay who have allowed the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. Zach Ertz is going to be the injury to watch given the rib injury he suffered in the win against the Cowboys. Dallas Goedert is going to be the name that gains a bump, although he has been producing

Teams allowing the most field goal attempts this season are Cincinnati, Denver, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore. Detroit, Arizona, Houston, and Philadelphia are a few other teams worth targeting with kickers, as they give up a lot of volume. Teams that give up the least amount of volume are New England, New Orleans, San Francisco, Oakland, and Minnesota. Volume is ultimately what you want each week. Finding kickers on offenses that move the ball is always a plus for fantasy points at the position. Efficiency would come next. If you are in need of a waiver wire pickup, Robbie Gould is out there in 50% of leagues. Zane Gonzalez was dropped, but is in a bounce back spot. Austin Seibert is 28% owned as well.

New England and Buffalo both take on the other divisional teams in the AFC East, which bodes well for their fantasy upside to end the season. They come out on top of projections, but the Saints are not far behind against Carolina, who are allowing a ton of fantasy points to opposing defenses over the last five weeks. Baltimore’s resting of players will linger into the defensive side which hurts a bit, however the Steelers offense continues to struggle. The Chiefs, Packers, Cowboys, and Vikings all have bug upside in games that still mean something to them. All face bottom tier offenses or turnover offenses. Atlanta is one that could really thrive this week, where the Bucs and Winston can provide a ton of turnover potential and touchdown potential for the defense.
