Dak PrescottIt is a top heavy week as far as projections go, and then a middle ground of quarterbacks that have a wide range of outcomes. Patrick Mahomes heads on the road to Detroit, and there is no slowing him down at the moment. He once again has the highest projection, as he will every week he plays. Deshaun Watson struggled in the first half, but found his groove in the second against the Chargers. Watson has a home matchup against a Panthers defense that isn’t particularly great against the pass. Dak Prescott goes on the road to a New Orleans defense that has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. They have also allowed a lot of rushing production. Prescott is on a tear to start the year, and the Kellen Moore play-calling is already paying off.

If you have been worried about the Green Bay passing attack, the Eagles secondary is on deck for Thursday. They have allowed the 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks so far. Ronald Darby is banged up, and this was already a secondary struggling. Rodgers should fire up a big game at home. Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, and Jared Goff are all in great spots this weekend, going up against defenses in the bottom half in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.

Baker Mayfield is already struggling to start the year, and has a road matchup against Baltimore. There are solid streaming options this week like Matthew Stafford, Jacoby Brissett, and even Daniel Jones. Kyle Allen also gets another solid matchup. Houston is allowing the 8th most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.

christian McCaffreyWith the Saquon Barkley injury, we are seeing a shrinking list of high floor backs to deploy each week. This is a pretty tough week for running backs, as most are in less than desirable matchups. Christian McCaffrey ripped off a big game against Arizona, and is the top back this week. His volume is going to make him a top ranked back moving forward with Barkley out. Austin Ekeler is in a prime spot on the road against a Miami team that has allowed six total touchdowns to opposing backs and over 600 yards of offense.

If there is ever a week for James Conner to get it together, it is this week. The Bengals are allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. They also rank 31st against the run. Both Dallas and New Orleans have ranked bottom ten against the run so far this season. Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliot both check in as top five options as usual. Marlon Mack gets a bump against a pedestrian Oakland defense. Indy is also running the ball at a heavy rate.

The middling range with Devonta Freeman, Leonard Fournette, Aaron Jones, Phillip Lindsay, and Chris Carson is where we have good spots, but also up and down volume or they just haven’t produced this season. Outside of the elite names, we are seeing a lot of middle production start to dry up.

Keenan AllenJulio Jones and Keenan Allen have been running the show this season, and they get two matchups this week where they can keep that going. It is a great spot for both, and also for Davante Adams. As mentioned above the Eagles have been torched this season and dating back to last year. Mike Evans got the monkey off his back last week, and this is more of a strong game script for the Bucs who should be playing keep up. I like this entire game as far as wideouts go, as they all sit inside the top 20 for rankings.

With Daniel Jones under center, Sterling Shepard got a massive bump after the big week. He sits around a lot of names from the KC-DET game, which should feature plenty of offense. Names that are on the fall, are both Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Not only because of the matchup, but the volume has been dead last to start the year as far as passing attempts go. In addition to the matchup against Chicago, it is tough to trust them, but especially Diggs. Terry McLaurin caught another touchdown, and gets a Giants secondary that is allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts so far this season.

No real change at the top of the list from last week, we have Travis Kelce going up against the Lions, and Evan Engram went off again against Tampa Bay. He gets a Washington defense that has been bottom ten over the last two seasons in fantasy points allowed to tight ends. Darren Waller’s usage is through the roof, and Indy has allowed the 5th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Malik Hooker is also set to miss the game which is a bump to Waller. Austin Hooper is coming off a two touchdown week, and tight ends already have three touchdowns against the Titans. If you are looking for a streamer, Will Dissly gets an Arizona defense that has allowed a 23-348-5 line to opposing tight ends.

greg zuerleinGreg Zuerlein is the usual top kicker option, but a few names make a jump. We have Joey Slye in a road game against Houston, and didn’t do much last week given the Panthers were able to punch it in the end zone. That game in general projects for some points, and the same goes for Brett Maher in New Orleans against the Saints. Both the Bills and Patriots kickers also rank inside the top ten.

Los Angeles RamsThe Rams welcome a turnover prone Tampa Bay team, and New England travels to Buffalo. Both have been ranked high so far to start the season, and have decent matchups. The game in Chicago is going to set up two underwhelming offenses against two of the best defenses in the league. Your Miami Dolphins alert goes to the Los Angeles Chargers this week, as they can rebound after a pedestrian defensive start to the season. Pittsburgh looked a lot better last week, and get a Bengals team that is allowing a lot of sacks and is having trouble running the ball.
