Tier One Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson is on track to do historical things for this season and is making his case for early NFL MVP. For fantasy football owners, that screams success for the huge amount of fantasy points he is putting up week in and week out. He leads the league in fantasy points through three weeks with 102 points averaging 34 points per game. Next week, he faces one of the worst defenses in the league against the Miami Dolphins. Look for him to put up similar fantasy numbers as he has through the first three weeks.

Josh Allen is a continued fantasy success quietly in the background of Wilson’s success. Again, his ability to run and pass the ball is making him an incredible asset for fantasy football. He has the second-most yards and passing touchdowns so far this year and is a true star for fantasy football. He will go up against the Las Vegas Raiders in week four, who while having a solid defense, will be no match in containing Josh Allen.

Tier Two Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott is slowly climbing his fantasy value ranking as the Cowboys continuously pass the ball game in and game out. Last week, he put up 472 yards and three touchdowns against Seattle. He is holding strong with the third most fantasy points for quarterbacks on the season and will increase that number next week against a weak Cleveland Brown defense.

Aaron Rodgers continues to be spectacular for fantasy football owners this season with 74.48 total fantasy points. He is one of the few starting quarterbacks left in the league who have not thrown for an interception yet this season. His efficiency and production are very beneficial for fantasy owners and he will look to continue his fantasy success next week against an Atlanta Falcons’ defense who has allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Patrick Mahomes is coming off a stellar Monday night football win against the Baltimore Ravens. Mahomes got the best of this possible AFC championship matchup by scoring five touchdowns against one of the best defenses in the league. Mahomes has been quiet in fantasy football, but he thrives against solid defenses where he is forced to perform. Look for him to shine again in week four against a tough New England Patriots defense.

Tier Three Quarterbacks

Kyler Murray is coming off of a tough and unexpected loss to the Detroit Lions where he posted a small 21.7 fantasy points. He has been dominant in the run game this season by putting up four rushing touchdowns and 187 rushing yards through three weeks. After a disappointing outing last week, he will look to bounce back in week four when he goes up against a giving Carolina Panther defense.

Lamar Jackson, facing a similar situation as Kyler Murray, was absolutely contained by the Kansas City Chief defense on Monday night. Only allowing him 14.18 points, Lamar Jackson threw for a minuscule 97 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 83 yards. His offense looked good in the first half, but the Chiefs ran away with the game early on and forced Jackson to make mistakes on offense. He will need a comeback game next week when the Ravens go up against the Washington Football Team in week four.

Tier Four Quarterbacks

Joe Burrow has been making the most of his new team by recording top ten fantasy football numbers averaging around 20 points per game. Burrow has certainly been taking advantage of weak NFL defenses after facing the Browns and the Eagles in the past two weeks. Now in week four, the Bengals will take on the Jaguars, who have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Look for Burrow to put up another solid fantasy football week against another poor defense.

Jared Goff, after having a brutal 10 fantasy point debut for the 2020 NFL season, has averaged 25 over the past two weeks against the Bills and the Eagles. Goff is always a question mark for being a fantasy football starter, but in week four against the New York Giants, I like his odds of putting up solid numbers for the Rams.

Drew Brees showed signs of life last week in the Saints’ loss to the Green Bay Packers. Many people are being quick to assume his days in the NFL may be coming to an end, but he still will put up decent numbers in the fantasy football season. He has struggled in the first two weeks but he put up a solid 23.52 points last week against a tough Packer defense. The Saints will take on the Detroit Lions in week four and if Brees can see Michael Thomas on the field back from injury next week, he should put up a solid fantasy outing.

Honorable Mentions

Ryan Fitzpatrick has been putting up some noticeable numbers in fantasy football against some weak defenses. Next week the Dolphins square off against the Seattle Seahawks, who have a solid NFL defense. However, while the Seahawks have a great defense, they have allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. I like the idea of Fitzpatrick putting up garbage time fantasy numbers to have a solid outing in week four.

Tom Brady put up a solid 23.88 fantasy points last week against an injured Denver Broncos defense. After struggling in the first two weeks, Brady put up 297 yards and three touchdowns without an interception last week. While the Chargers have a solid defense and scary defensive line with Joey Bosa, look for Brady to put up a good week for fantasy.

Gardner Minshew did not take advantage of a weak Miami Dolphin defense on Thursday night football in week three. James Robinson did most of the heavy lifting in their loss and Minshew did not perform to expectation. The Bengals are another bad defense that the Jaguars will want to take advantage of for a win, and Minshew will have to perform to make that win possible. Look for him to hover around the top ten next week for fantasy points.
