Week 4 was a wild one, and quieter on the injury front. However, we were able to see how some teams were going to deal with those injuries, as well as some names starting to thrive. Mitch Trubisky was the bigger name to go down with an injury, but you are likely not reaching out to get another quarterback because of it. After Week 4, most of the recent article pickups have been grabbed already. It is time to start diving into some lower owned names that quite haven’t broken out yet, but the volume is there. That will be the key this week. Be sure to catch all our Week 5 rankings and fantasy football advice.

Kansas City ChiefsDarrel Williams – RB – Kansas City Chiefs

Average Ownership: 35 %, FAAB: $4

The problem with the Chiefs backfield and spending FAAB money on them is that there is a looming committee once Damien Williams returns. Darrel Williams is already in a timeshare with LeSean McCoy, but has made the most of his touches through the last two weeks. He has scored 15 and 18 PPR points in the last two games, and has seen 25 total touches in that span. As long as Damien Williams is out, Darrell Williams will have a solid role.

Golden Tate – WR – New York Giants

Average Ownership: 50%, FAAB: $5

Golden Tate is returning for Week 5, and while I wouldn’t start him just yet, he is a name to take a flyer on until he has a game under his belt. He was suspended for the first four weeks, which gave the Giants enough time to get Daniel Jones starting. Tate should jump in and get a solid target share right off the bat, which might mean it comes at a cost to the others. Tate has been a reliable PPR WR for quite some time now. In standard and .5 PPR leagues, he isn’t a big priority.

Phillip Dorsett – WR – New England Patriots

Average Ownership: 35%, FAAB: $5

Phillip Dorsett saw another high volume game, and has 16 targets over the last two weeks. He had a tough draw against the Buffalo Bills secondary, so he wasn’t able to do much with them. However, New England has one of the easier remaining schedules in football, and Dorsett is going to have plenty of matchups to post strong numbers. Do not worry about his Week 4 production, and go out and grab the Patriots wideout.

Eric Ebron – TE – Indianapolis Colts

Average Ownership: 47%, FAAB: $2

Both Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle are in play still. The T.Y. Hilton injury is not something that is going to be going away anytime soon. While the Colts were in comeback mode, we saw both Ebron and Doyle get some steady work. We also saw Parris Campbell see eight targets. He is a deeper league grab in the meantime. The Colts defense is severely banged up, and more games like the one against Oakland could occur.

Ronald Jones – RB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Average Ownership: 42%, FAAB: $4

Over the last two weeks, Ronald Jones has seen 15 and 20 touches. He saw just four in Week 2, and as I mentioned something didn’t seem right with that ankle. Week 1 he had 14 touches. He has now produced 10, 13, and 15 fantasy point games when he has seen double-digit touchdowns. Overall he has been the better back in comparison to Peyton Barber. I expect Jones to keep getting run moving forward, and his ownership will spike after this week.

Geronimo Allison – WR – Miami Dolphins

Average Ownership: 27%, FAAB: $3

Davante Adams could miss some time, although it doesn’t seem like it will be that long. Geronimo Allison will get a bump in snaps and targets, which bodes well for a short term fill in. Allison has been very boom or bust, alternating weeks so far this season. Once Adams returns, this is a droppable player. Now with Bye Weeks in play, there will be more rotating and short term options to consider.

Jacoby Brissett – QB – Indianapolis Colts

Average Ownership: 31%, FAAB: $5

Jacoby Brissett has ten touchdowns through four weeks, and the defense has now been banged up with injuries. This is going to create some games where Brissett has to air it out more. Over the next few weeks he has some enticing matchups. He will take on the Chiefs, which will be a come from behind effort, go into a Bye Week, and then face Houston, Denver, Pittsburgh and Miami. Denver is the notable secondary, but they are not quite on par this season as they were in previous years.
