In this article, I will be reviewing notable fantasy football injuries that fantasy owners should be aware of next week.

Carolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears

Carolina Panthers
Curtis Samuel (Q): Curtis Samuel is listed as questionable with a knee injury. Considering D.J Moore and Robby Anderson rack most of the targets and points on this team, his injury most likely helps owners decide that he will ride the bench in week six.
Christian McCaffrey (O): After having the small possibility of returning in week six, the Panthers have decided not to take the star running back, Christian McCaffrey off of IR yet. Mike Davis is bound to get a lot of touches but could be stopped from fantasy success by the Bears defense.

Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans

Tennessee Titans
Jonnu Smith (Q): Jonnu Smith has been dealing with a quadriceps injury that has kept him limited at practice. He should maintain his fantasy success after grabbing two touchdowns last week and standing at fifth in points amongst tight ends.
A.J Brown(Q): A.J Brown is listed as questionable but did not practice on Thursday. He had a phenomenal game last week and should continue to get plenty of targets with Corey Davis out of the lineup.
Houston Texans
Jordan Akins (Q): Jordan Akins will be a game-time decision on Sunday against Tennessee due to a concussion. The tight end allowed his partner Darren Fells to receive more of the action last game and maybe the same result next week if he doesn’t play.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Indianpolis Colts
Mo-Allie Cox (O): Mo-Allie Cox is not playing on Sunday due to knee issue. This opens up possibilities for tight ends Jack Dolye and Trey Burton on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Atlanta Falcons

Minnesota Vikings
Dalvin Cook (O): Dalvin Cook will not play on Sunday after suffering a groin strain. Alexander Mattison will play in his place after putting up over 100 yards last week while Cook was out.
Atlanta Falcons
Hayden Hurst (Q): Hayden Hurst is questionable with a back injury, but he practiced Thursday giving him a good chance to play.

New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos

New England Patriots
Julian Edelman (Q): Julian Edelman is listed every week with a knee injury on the report because he practices limitedly, but he should play on Sunday.
Denver Broncos
Drew Lock (Q): Drew Lock is trending in the right way to play on Sunday. The first time we have seen him since week two.
Melvin Gordon (Q): Melvin Gordon has had quite the rough week. He was caught with a DUI and is now going through a non-COVID related illness that may keep him out Sunday. If he does not play, Philip Lindsay will take over the backfield.

New York Giants vs. Washington Football Team

New York Giants
Darius Slayton (Q): Darius Slayton is listed questionable with a foot injury but is expected to play on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens

Philadelphia Eagles
Desean Jackson (O): Desean Jackson has been listed as out for Sunday with a hamstring injury. I recommend picking up Travis Fulgham after he put up 30 fantasy points last week, and since the Eagles’ receivers are injured across the board.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns

Pittsburgh Steelers
Diontae Johnson (O): Diontae Johnson has been ruled out with a back injury for Sunday. Last week, Chase Claypool had 4 touchdowns and could see a lot more action on Sunday.
Cleveland Browns
Odell Beckham Jr. (Q): Odell Beckham is listed as questionable with an illness. Pending a negative COVID test, he will be able to play on Sunday.
Jarvis Landry (Q): Jarvis Landry has been dealing with a ribs/hip injury that has listed him as questionable. He is trending in the right direction to play on Sunday after practicing on Friday.
Kareem Hunt (Q): Kareem Hunt has been dealing with a thigh issue after playing through a groin injury, but should be ready to play on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions

Jacksonville Jaguars
D.J Chark Jr. (Q): D.J Chark is questionable with an ankle injury but put in a limited session on Friday that has him trending in the right direction for Sunday.
Laviska Shenault Jr. (Q):Laviska Shenault is questionable to play with a hamstring injury, but practiced on Thursday making him most likely active for Sunday.

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

New York Jets
Sam Darnold (O): Sam Darnold will not play on Sunday due to a shoulder injury, making Joe Flacco the replacement. This may hurt Jets’ wide receivers like Jamison Crowder, who has been putting up a lot of fantasy points this season.
Breshad Perriman (Q): Breshad Perriman is expected to play on Sunday after being questionable with an ankle injury.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Green Bay Packers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Leonard Fournette (Q): Leonard Fournette is one of the only true questionable players going into Sunday with an ankle injury that has sidelined him for the past two weeks. If he is not good to go, Ronald Jones will take over as the lead back. But, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, and Scotty Miller are all healthy for Sunday.
Green Bay Packers
Marcedes Lewis (Q): Marcedes Lewis did not practice on Thursday due to a knee injury. His progress does not look great for Sunday, especially with Davante Adams coming back in the lineup.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams

All good for fantasy football!

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs
Sammy Watkins (D): Sammy Watkins is not expected to play on Monday due to a hamstring injury. This opens up the window to Mecole Hardman to receive some attention on Monday, along with the obvious starts of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott (O): Dak Prescott is out for the season after fracturing his ankle last week against the Giants. Andy Dalton will replace the team as the starting quarterback, and he led the team to win in the second half last week. However, it could be future trouble for the Dallas receiving core of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb.

I have played football, baseball, hockey, golf, and basketball separately when I was young. Now I run cross country and track for DePaul University. My favorite part about sport is the mental strength. I am a big fan of all of the Chicago sports teams that don’t end in “Cubs.”
