Check out who else may not be playing on Sunday below in this week’s fantasy football injury report.
Contents
Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints
Allen Robinson (doubtful): Allen Robinson suffered a concussion last week that is likely to keep him out of Sunday’s game because he hasn’t practiced all week. Look for Darnell Mooney to be a sleeper for week eight, and Jimmy Graham to see more targets as a WR1.
Michael Thomas (out): Michael Thomas will be out again for the sixth straight week with his continued hamstring injury. I was as shocked to see this as other owners of Thomas probably were. He was a limited participant all week in practice but not ready to play yet.
Emmanuel Sanders/Marquez Callaway (out): Emmanuel Sanders and Marquez Callaway have hit the IR list for COVID this week. Look for Tre’Quan Smith to see a lot of targets on Sunday, but not enough to be a fantasy fill-in against the Bears’ secondary.
New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills
Julian Edelman (out): Julian Edelman will miss next week against the Bills with a knee injury that he has been nursing for most of the season.
N’Keal Harry (out): N’Keal Harry will be out next week with a concussion. Damiere Byrd will get most of the attention but may struggle against the Bills’ secondary with Tre’Davious White. However, he has boom potential with the top two options being out to injury.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans
Joe Mixon (out): Joe Mixon will be out next week with a foot injury. Giovani Bernard is a great RB2 filler after popping off for 20.6 fantasy points last week.
Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Odell Beckham (out): Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a torn ACL last week which will cost him his season. Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones will certainly see more attention because of this.
Austin Hooper(out): Austin Hooper is dealing with an appendix injury that will keep him sidelined next week. Harrison Bryant led tight end rankings last week with his absence, and could certainly see more action next week in the passing game.
Detroit Lions vs. Indianapolis Colts
Mo-Allie Cox (questionable): Mo-Allie Cox is questionable with a knee injury, but doesn’t look to be in any danger to sit out on Sunday. However, Trey Burton has emerged as a possible fantasy addition with 21.9 fantasy points last week.
Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings
Aaron Jones (out): Aaron Jones will be out for a second straight week with a calf injury. Jamaal Williams had a successful fantasy week last week without him for 21.4 fantasy points and should be a great RB2 filler for next week without the Vikings starting defensive ends to injury and recent trade.
Mason Crosby (questionable): Mason Crosby is questionable to play next week with a calf injury next week. He has averaged 9.2 fantasy points this season.
Dalvin Cook (questionable): Dalvin Cook is still questionable with a groin injury, but practiced fully on Friday and should be good to go for Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets
Sammy Watkins (out): Sammy Watkins is out for week eight against the Jets with a hamstring injury. This will be his third straight missed week while averaging 10.7 points. Watch for Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to fight for more targets and move up in the standings.
Jamison Crowder (out): Jamison Crowder is one of the most underrated fantasy football players this season averaging 19.8 fantasy points per game. I would not take anyone from the Jets to fill his spot for fantasy against the Chiefs next week.
Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Rams
Tyler Higbee (questionable): Tyler Higbee is questionable for next week with a hand injury after practicing in a limited fashion on Friday. He has projected 7.55 fantasy points next week as TE20 and should be okay to reach that potential barring an increase in injury.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Mark Ingram (doubtful): Mark Ingram is doubtful for next week with an ankle injury after not practicing on Friday. Gus Edwards and J.K Dobbins will lead the backfield without him and are projected 11.85 and 8.5 fantasy points.
Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Tim Patrick (questionable): Tim Patrick is questionable with a hamstring injury and looks doubtful after not practicing on Friday. He has averaged 11.7 fantasy points this season. Jerry Jeudy is the only Broncos’ receiver projected in the top 50 with 10.85 projected points.
Phillip Lindsay (questionable): Phillip Lindsay is questionable for next week with a concussion, but practiced on Friday. Melvin Gordon has projected 13.25 fantasy points in his possible absence.
Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers
Carlos Hyde (doubtful): Carlos Hyde will most likely not play on Sunday with a hamstring injury.
Chris Carson (questionable): Chris Carson did not practice on Thursday with a foot injury and may not be ready to play on Sunday. Travis Homer is also hurt, leaving DeeJay Dallas the possibility of leading the Seahawks’ backfield. However, I am not confident with his fantasy potential against the 49ers’ defense.
Jeff Wilson (out): Jeff Wilson is out with an ankle injury for Sunday. Jerick McKinnon and JaMychal Hasty will lead the backfield, with McKinnon having great upside fantasy potential in his absence.
Deebo Samuel (out): Deebo Samuel will not play on Sunday with a hamstring injury. Look for Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne to take over the receiving core.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys
Miles Sanders (out): Miles Sanders will not play next week against the Cowboys with a knee injury. Boston Scott is due for another week of fantasy success in his place after putting up 18.2 fantasy points last week.
New York Giants vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sterling Shepard (questionable): Sterling Shepard practiced on Friday and was limited. He has been averaging 11.4 fantasy points this season. If he doesn’t play, Darius Slayton will haul in most of the targets.
Chris Godwin (out): Chris Godwin is out for Sunday after getting surgery on his finger last Tuesday. More targets for Mike Evans and Scotty Miller if he is good to play.
Scotty Miller (questionable): Scotty Miller is listed as questionable for week eight with a hip injury. He has projected 10.55 fantasy points if he plays.
Rob Gronkowski (questionable): Rob Gronkowski is questionable with a shoulder injury, but practiced on Friday.
