Philly had stashed away Trey Burton behind Zach Ertz for the start of his career, so Burton’s progress in the NFL has been delayed a bit. Burton wasn’t drafted, but came out of the University of Florida, which is a notable spot for strong skill position players. Burton showcased enough of his potential in Philly, because Chicago forked up some cash to sign him. Burton is looking to lockdown a starting role, and certainly has that potential. Burton has had an abnormal path, but is one of the up and coming tight ends in the league, so be sure to keep tabs.
