Fantasy Football Playoffs Semi Finals Starts & Sits (NFL Talking Heads Fantasy Football Podcast)
In this episode we opened up with the question, “Which players will disappoint fantasy owners in week 15?” We agreed that Derrick Henry and Miles Sanders are two prime candidates to have bad weeks at the most inopportune time for fantasy owners. We talked about some of the player that disappointed fantasy owners in week 14. Some of the players that didn’t come through for week one of the fantasy football playoffs were: Davante Adams, Saquon Barkley, Aaron Rodgers and Tyler Lockett.
For this weeks waiver wire pick ups segment, we focused on players that can pay immediate dividends for fantasy owners. Our top pick up of the week was AJ Brown (Ten). Brown is coming off his second massive game in his past three outings and has considerable upside in week 15 against a below average Houston secondary. Our second pick up option of the week is Raheem Mostert (SF). Mostert has now had three straight games with a TD, and has been playing like the number one RB in San Francisco. Although it can be scary to predict which SF back will get the majority of the workload, Mostert certainly seems to have the hot hand. We recommended picking up Boston Scott (Phi) who had a breakout performance against the Giants on Monday Night Football, but advised our listeners to wait one more week before starting him so we could see how he is used in week 15.
Some other solid pick ups for the week that we talked about were: Danny Amendola (Det), Patrick Laird (Mia), Adrian Peterson (Was), Breshad Perriman (TB) and Marcus Johnson (Ind). We agreed, that Eli Manning is a great streaming option in all formats, but especially in two quarterback leagues, given the quality of the matchup, the fact that he has zero pressure on him, and the quality of his supporting cast at the skill positions.
