NBA Trades & Memphis Surging (Drive And Dish NBA Podcast)

Welcome back to another edition of the Drive & Dish NBA podcast, hosted by Kevin Rafuse (@rafusetolose) & Justin Cousart (@JustinContheAir). The guys get right into hoops this week, first breaking down the Jeff Teague trade. Justin tries to make sense of exactly what Minnesota is doing, and why they would make this move now. The duo then delves into the D’Angelo Russell to Minnesota rumors and Kevin argues why he doesn’t even think it’s possible, despite how much D.Lo & KAT like each other. Kevin also expresses his concern for the Wolves being able to keep KAT longterm.

They then switch to the other side of the trade, and discuss why Jeff Teague is a good pickup for Atlanta for the rest of the season & a good mentor for Trae Young. The guys then get into Who’s Ballin Who’s Fallin, including the Warriors now in the basement, and Michael Porter Jr. starting to get more minutes with Denver. Is he the difference maker to propel them into the Finals?

The guys then take a deep drive into the Memphis Grizzlies surging up the standings in the West. Kevin & Justin discuss if they’re for real, and how Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Grizz young core has taken them to the next level. Old school listeners will appreciate the guys being “Fake Grizzlies fans” again this episode. Also included in that segment, a debate over Trae Young, Ja Morant & SGA.

Kevin & Justin end the show with Hot Takes from Reddit, including a super hot streak by Demar DeRozan as he makes some history.
