The Newest Spurs Draftees (Spurscast)

In episode 547 of the Spurscast, host Paul Garcia, Project Spurs draft writer Benjamin Bornstein, and former Project Spurs writer Trevor Zickgraf talk about the results of the 2019 NBA Draft for the Spurs.

The Spurs selected Luka Samanic with the 19th pick. They talk about how he will fit and his future with the team and if his addition makes another international player, Latvian Davis Bertans, expendable. While many Spurs fans felt the Samanic pick came early, most seem to agree Kentucky’s Keldon Johnson was a steal at the 29th pick.

To round the draft out, San Antonio selected Quinndary Weatherspoon with the 49th pick, who is already expected to be signed to a two-way contract.
