In this episode we open up with a discussion on best landing spots next year for rookie QB’s coming out in the 2020 NFL draft. The Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos are the two teams we feel are in the best position to have early success with a top rookie QB. Other respectable destinations would include: The New York Jets is they moved on from Sam Darnold, and certainly the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions if they made any crazy moves with their current starting QB’s, all of which would be very unlikely. Jeff also shares his experience with Daily Fantasy and goes over some tips on how to have success in tournaments. For the waiver wire portion of the episode, we explain our strategy of targeting players on BYE to get value and stashing them on your bench. Our waiver wire pick ups this week are: Brian Hill (ATL), Darius Slayton (NYG), Duke Johnson (Hou), and J.D. McKissic (Det). Brian Hill and J.D. McKissic should both have solid floors, given the volume of touches most likely coming their way with the injuries to Ty Johnson and Devonta Freeman. Darius Slayton is on BYE this week, but is worth rostering. His monster game on sunday demonstrates his upside and with Sterling Shepard’s NFL future in doubt, Slayton might see significant playing time for the remainder of the season. For this weeks streaming options, I recommend picking up Kyle Allen (Car) as a good option against a below average Atlanta Falcons defense. For streaming TE options, I recommend picking up Jack Doyle (Ind), or if you are desperate, Tyler Eifert (Cin) isn’t as crazy as you might think against a bad Oakland Raiders defense. Finally, for my much anticipated streaming defense of the week, I urge fantasy owners to grab Jaguars D against Indianapolis, if Brian Hoyer gets another start. Other streaming defense options I recommend are Panthers D and Raiders D.
