It’s hard to believe, but we’re less than a week away from the start of the 2026-27 NFL season, and with that, there are several exciting futures markets beyond the Super Bowl and division winners to choose from.
What’s even more unique is that these futures markets won’t linger throughout the season like those other ones. Instead, these could be gone by as soon as the conclusion of Week 1 of the NFL season or lose almost all of their value.
Below, I’ll cover these futures markets, which include bes/worst regular season record and last team to go undefeated/winless.
Team to Finish with Best Regular Season Record
Los Angeles Rams
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Rams have the 6th-hardest schedule in the NFL. But honestly, their roster is far too good to pass up.
They have players like Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, Kyren Williams, and Puka Nacua on offense. On defense, they’re loaded with talent, with Myles Garrett, Aaron Donald (going to have to get used to saying that again), Trent McDuffie, and Jaylen Watson.
They do play in the NFC West, which will naturally be difficult with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Outside of that, their top opponents are the following:
- New York Giants
- Denver Broncos
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Buffalo Bills
- Los Angeles Rams
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Washington Commanders
- Green Bay Packers
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Dallas Cowboys
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Yes, there are a lot more difficult opponents. That said, I believe it’s also fair to think they’re just better than most of those teams. I predict 14 wins or more for the Rams.
Detroit Lions
The Lions head into the 2026-27 season with the easiest schedule on paper. Their first hurdle comes in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. Otherwise, their first 10 games include the New Orleans Saints, Bills, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots.
Their team didn’t change a whole lot from last season, but they still have a great offense with Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jahmyr Gibbs.
In the 2026 NFL Draft, they added more assets. Their first-round pick was offensive tackle Blake Miller. They also took an edge rusher to go alongside Aidan Hutchinson in fellow Michigan man, Derrick Moore. I also like their addition of cornerback Keith Abney in the fifth round. He should see the field quickly.
They were 9-8 last season, but their schedule is far easier this season.
Cincinnati Bengals
Another team I like to finish with the best regular-season record is the Bengals. I know, they’ve consistently been disappointing lately. They haven’t had double-digit wins since 2022. In 2025, they went 6-11, but quarterback Joe Burrow played in only 8 games.
Now, assuming Burrow’s health and their easy-on-paper schedule, they’re intriguing. There are certainly some harder matchups in there, such as the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, and Jacksonville Jaguars. All that being said, there are definitely enough games in here to meet and exceed double-digit wins.
Team to Finish with Worst Regular Season Record
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals not only have the hardest schedule in the NFL but also don’t have a good roster whatsoever. There are some bright spots on offense and edge rusher Josh Sweat, but their quarterback situation is among the worst in the NFL.
For starters, their starting quarterback is Jacoby Brissett. Statistically, he was OK last season, throwing for 3,366 yards across 14 games (12 starts). However, with him as the starter, the Cardinals went 1-11.
Now they have a new head coach, Mike LaFleur, who will focus more on offense. Thankfully, that’s where the talent is.
That said, between the quarterback situation and the defense, I don’t believe they’ll win many games.
Miami Dolphins
The Cardinals won’t have the worst roster in the NFL; that title belongs to the Dolphins.
They do have De’Von Achane; I’m excited to see Malik Willis in a starting role, and they did draft one of my favorite receivers, Chris Bell.
Outside of that, though, this team just has hardly any talent. A big part of that is the dead-money hit from Tua Tagovailoa’s contract, which is nearly $100 million over two seasons.
They don’t have anywhere near a No. 1 wide receiver. Their top three receivers are Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas, and Jalen Tolbert. Bell is recovering from an ACL tear in November.
Defensively, they drafted some intriguing options like Chris Johnson and Jordan Rodriguez, but overall talent is low.
I wouldn’t be shocked if they had the No. 1 overall pick in 2027.
New York Jets
The Jets are loaded with players on offense with Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., Mason Taylor, Kenyon Sadiq, and Breece Hall. In theory, their quarterback situation should be better than the triumvirate of Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, and Brady Book last year. However, their new (but returning) quarterback is a mid-30s Geno Smith who led the NFL in interceptions last season.
On defense, they didn’t have a single interception last season.
So, the offense has plenty of talent, but the quarterback and defense are potentially bad enough to land with their worst record.
Last Team to be Undefeated?
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are coming off a Super Bowl title, and really, the team hasn’t changed too much. Running back Zach Charbonnet will begin the season on the PUP list, but they drafted Jadarian Price, who will step right in and play.
In Week 1, they take on the New England Patriots at home. Assuming they get by them after having just beaten them in the Super Bowl, they should do well over their next handful of games. They play the Cardinals, Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos.
The latter three are a bit of a concern, but the Chargers and 49ers are at home, while the Broncos game is in Denver.
The Seahawks have a legitimate chance to repeat. There’s no team on the schedule that I automatically think will beat them.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens’ first 6, or perhaps 7, games are ones I could see them escaping without too many issues. There is the Dallas Cowboys’ offense, which is certainly one to watch for, though. In Week 6, they play the Cleveland Browns, who have a quarterback situation I don’t trust whatsoever, but they have a strong defense. Then, in Week 7, there’s the Cincinnati Bengals with Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and more.
So, all in all, there’s a realistic chance they go 7-0 before heading into a stretch against the Bills, Jaguars, and Chargers.
Detroit Lions
Going back to the Lions again here, and for good reason. With them having an easy schedule, yes, they face the Bills in Week 2.
As mentioned above, they have a run of easier opponents. In Week 7, they face the Packers. If they get by the Bills and Packers, I feel like there’s a really strong chance they go into Week 10 against the Patriots at 9-0 (Week 6 bye week).
I’m not at all afraid of the Saints, Jets, Panthers, Cardinals, and Dolphins over that stretch.
Last Team to be Winless
Arizona Cardinals
I’m going to risk sounding like a broken record, but it’s not unreasonable to think that teams that have the fewest wins also remain winless the longest.
I don’t think Brissett is necessarily a bad quarterback, but I’m just not sure he can do enough on his own to get wins.
The first game I could see them winning is maybe Week 4 against the Giants, but with that defensive front, that’s a tall task.
After that, to be completely honest, I’d say Week 15 against the Jets, coming out of their Week 14 bye week.
Miami Dolphins
Like the Cardinals, the Dolphins make an appearance here after appearing in my list of worst regular-season records.
Also, like the Cardinals, the Dolphins play the Jets, but it’s in Week 7, coming off a Week 6 bye.
Still, I’d even say that the Jets have a better roster than the Dolphins. Their offense is head and shoulders better (on paper) than the Dolphins.
If the Dolphins went 0-17, it wouldn’t shock me at all.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are such an odd team to analyze. Despite trading Garrett to the Rams, their defense will still be strong. In return, they got Jared Verse, who’s a promising young pass rusher.
It’s really the quarterback situation that’s borderline untenable. Their starting quarterback will once again be Deshaun Watson. Unlike Brissett, Watson can be bad enough to lose games for the Browns. As for other options, I didn’t see enough from Shedeur Sanders to become a believer.
The Browns do play the Jets in Week 5, which should be a win. After that, they play the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 in Tennessee, so that could be a win. That said, they have a new coaching staff, which could help raise the floor of that roster.
Both of those games are on the road, though, so that’s something to consider strongly. The Watson (negative) effect is real.
