We’re on to Game 8 of 84 in our Maple Leafs ML Tracker, where we’re taking this bet to win $100 on every game this season. Why am I doing this? Because I believe that the Maple Leafs are undervalued in betting markets this year. With Gavin McKenna, Darren Raddysh, Kirill Marchenko, and Sergei Bobrovsky, this is a much-improved roster. Not to mention that this team gave up on head coach Craig Berube last year, so with Jim Hiller behind the bench, I’m expecting major improvement.
| Games Tracked | Record (W-L) | Net P/L |

| 7 of 84 | 3-4 | -$73.04 |
The results haven’t been there yet, but a 1-1-1 road trip in Las Vegas, Colorado, and Utah is a strong result. Up next is the start of a three-game homestand.

The Pick
The Leafs return home from a three-game road trip in a winnable matchup against the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres have struggled on the power play, ranking 29th, while the Leafs have excelled there, coming in at 5th. On top of that, Buffalo has been atrocious on the penalty kill (30th), while the Leafs have been the opposite (1st). That’s the kind of advantage in special teams that I want to bet on here.
There’s also a chance that the Sabres will be a bit fatigued for this game, as it’s their third game in the last four nights. With Sergei Bobrovsky in goal, look for the Leafs to get back on track following a poor performance from Anthony Stolarz. We should also mention that Rasmus Dahlin is questionable for this game, as he’s day-to-day with an upper body injury. If Dahlin can’t go, that’s huge for the Leafs, as he’s one of the best defensemen in the NHL.
