Barcelona vs. Feyenoord: Anthony Gordon 2+ Shots on Target (+105)
Anthony Gordon has quickly settled into life in Spain after joining Barcelona from Newcastle United this summer. The left winger has contributed four assists in his first four appearances for the Spanish champions and now makes his Barcelona debut in the Champions League, looking to carry that form into Europe’s premier competition. Gordon and Barcelona’s red-hot attack are heavy favorites against Feyenoord on Wednesday, and we are backing the Englishman to register at least two shots on target. He has averaged 1.0 shots on target per game in his short time at the club.
Since arriving, Gordon has operated largely as a creator, even passing up an open goal on one occasion to set up a teammate. Wednesday could be the game where he takes a more direct approach against a clearly outmatched opponent. Last season, Gordon was among the UCL’s top scorers, netting 10 goals in 12 appearances for Newcastle. This looks like the ideal stage for him to rediscover his goal-scoring instincts and get at least two shots on target in the process.
PSG vs. Slovan: Achraf Hakimi 1+ Goals + Assists (+110)
PSG have not started the season as expected following their second consecutive Champions League triumph earlier this year. The European champions are winless through their first three Ligue 1 matches and currently sit 13th in the table with five goals scored and six conceded. They now turn their attention to the UCL, where they have been exceptional in recent seasons, and enter Wednesday’s match against Slovan as one of the favorites to win a third consecutive European title. Fans will be eager to see the team return to the level everyone knows they are capable of.
One player yet to hit his stride this season is world-class right back Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan international has struggled defensively in his first three Ligue 1 outings and has yet to show the attacking threat that defines his best form. The 27-year-old finished last season’s UCL campaign with seven goal involvements, including a competition-high six assists. Wednesday’s match against Slovan offers Hakimi the perfect chance to get on the ball more, move forward, and rediscover the form we haven’t seen from him this season.
Sporting vs. Galatasaray: Rui Silva 4+ Saves (+230)
Sporting vs. Galatasaray shapes up as one of the more compelling matchups in the Champions League opening matchweek. Both clubs have made strong starts in their domestic leagues and will be looking to carry that momentum into their European openers. Rui Silva and Sporting are unbeaten through five Liga Portugal games, with the Portuguese international conceding five goals so far. He now faces a Galatasaray side renowned for their aggressive attack and individual quality, which should test Silva even on the road.
Galatasaray sit top of the Turkish Süper Lig with 12 goals in four games, averaging a remarkable 23.8 shots per game and creating 5.5 big chances against Turkish opposition. While Sporting are a considerably stronger side than most of Galatasaray’s domestic opponents, the Turkish club will still impose their attacking style. Silva has averaged just 1.4 saves per game in Liga Portugal this season but will almost certainly be called into action far more frequently when Galatasaray come to town on Wednesday afternoon.

Desire Doue (PSG, $9,100)
Our DFS lineup for Wednesday’s six-game slate is headlined by PSG’s Désiré Doué. The Frenchman is another PSG star who has struggled to make an impact in the early domestic games but has a clear opportunity to redeem himself against Slovan on Wednesday. The 21-year-old has proven himself as one of the most dangerous right wingers in the world and has been a vital contributor to PSG’s back-to-back European titles. Doué and the rest of PSG’s squad may still be feeling the effects of a congested schedule — particularly following the World Cup this summer — but should begin to find their rhythm as the season progresses.
Alexander Isak (Liverpool, $6,100)
Alexander Isak is starting to return to the form that prompted Liverpool to sign him from Newcastle United for a record-breaking fee. The Swedish striker is set to face Atlético Madrid on Wednesday after scoring a brace in the Premier League on Friday afternoon. The 26-year-old now has three goals in his last two games and takes on an Atlético side that has not been at its best in La Liga, having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Athletic Club on Saturday before making the trip to England.
Fabian Ruiz (PSG, $5,300)
PSG stalwart Fabián Ruiz leads the midfield in our lineup. The Spaniard has been a key member of Luis Enrique’s midfield and arrives at this season fresh off winning the World Cup with Spain. He opened his Ligue 1 campaign with a brace of assists and has been one of the brighter spots in an otherwise flat PSG side through three games. Ruiz played a significant role in PSG’s Champions League success over the past two seasons and should continue that solid form against a weaker Slovan side on Wednesday.
Martin Odegaard (Arsenal, $6,200)
Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard rounds out our midfield after a blistering start to the season for the Gunners. The Norwegian has faced his share of criticism in recent seasons but appears to have come into this campaign with a point to prove based on what we have seen from him in the Premier League so far. The 27-year-old has scored in three of Arsenal’s four games across all competitions and was instrumental in the English champions’ win over Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. There seems to be a clear emphasis on getting Ødegaard forward this season, and he is converting his chances at a high rate so far.
Nuno Mendes (PSG, $4,900)
Our first defensive pick is PSG left-back Nuno Mendes. The Portuguese international makes his seasonal debut for PSG after serving a three-game domestic suspension following a red card in the Trophée des Champions Final. Mendes should arrive well rested, having last played on August 16. The 24-year-old is widely regarded as the best left back in the world and started all 17 Champions League games for PSG last season en route to back-to-back European titles. He has proven capable of influencing games at both ends of the pitch and could easily find himself with a goal contribution in what is expected to be a one-sided affair.
Ben White (Arsenal, $4,300)
Our final defensive selection is Arsenal’s Ben White, who, like Ødegaard, has stepped up amid recent criticism. White has started all four of Arsenal’s games at right back with Dutch defender Jurrien Timber sidelined by injury. Before Timber’s arrival, White was Mikel Arteta’s first choice in that position, though he was quickly displaced once Timber established himself as a clear upgrade. Four consecutive solid performances have at least reopened the debate about who should start week in and week out. White has been a key part of Arsenal conceding just one goal this season and even contributed an assist in the Premier League opener against Coventry. Look for him to continue that form against Napoli on Wednesday.
Jan Oblak (Atletico, $4,000)
We are backing Jan Oblak as our goalkeeper on Wednesday, with Atlético entering as underdogs against Liverpool in their Champions League opener. Oblak has long been considered one of the best goalkeepers in the history of this competition, built on years of consistent excellence for his club. The 33-year-old had a difficult outing in La Liga but will have the chance to bounce back with a strong showing in England. Oblak averaged 2.8 saves per game in the Champions League last season, including three against Liverpool in this very competition.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG, $10,100)
To round out our lineup, we have Khvicha Kvaratskhelia — the winger on the opposite flank to Doué — who showed signs of life with an assist in his most recent Ligue 1 game after two quiet performances to open the season. The Georgian international will be glad to have Mendes behind him once again, and we should see Kvara rediscover the form we know he is capable of as the Champions League gets underway. He finished last season’s title-winning campaign with 16 goal contributions in the UCL, tying Hakimi for the most assists in the competition and finishing third in the Golden Boot race with a team-leading 10 goals. The 25-year-old has cemented himself as one of the competition’s most dangerous attackers, and his assist in his last outing may be a sign that he is beginning to hit his stride after a slow start.
