Ole Miss Rebels 2026 College Football Preview, Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

Ole Miss enters the 2026 college football season with high expectations after reaching the College Football Playoff semifinals last year. Even after the departure of former coach Lane Kiffin, the Rebels still possess enough returning talent and transfer portal additions to remain firmly in the SEC and playoff conversation entering 2026.

A major storyline this offseason is the transition to first-year head coach Pete Golding, who takes over after serving as the program’s defensive coordinator. Ole Miss also returns one of the SEC’s top rushing attacks, led by Kewan Lacy, along with a stout offensive line.

In this preview, we’ll break down Ole Miss’ national championship odds, SEC title odds, Heisman Trophy candidates, and season win totals while evaluating whether the Rebels can remain a playoff contender during a new era in Oxford.

Ole Miss Rebels 2026 College Football National Championship Odds

National Title Odds:

The Ole Miss Rebels are +3000 to win the National Championship. After reaching the College Football Playoff semifinals last season, Ole Miss has enough returning talent to stay in the playoff conversation, but a coaching transition and the week-to-week grind of the SEC make a title run feel like a longshot.

With that said, there are still plenty of reasons to believe in the Rebels entering 2026. Ole Miss returns one of the SEC’s stronger rushing attacks along with an experienced offensive line, while the roster remains loaded with talent despite the departure of Lane Kiffin. The biggest question is whether first-year head coach Pete Golding can maintain the momentum built over the last few seasons.

Bet: No

Ole Miss Rebels 2026 SEC Championship Odds

SEC Title Odds:

The Ole Miss Rebels are +1100 to win the SEC, behind Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, and LSU. Considering Ole Miss reached the College Football Playoff semifinals last season, there’s a reasonable argument that this number offers some value.

A big reason is the overall roster continuity in key areas. Ole Miss still returns one of the SEC’s better rushing attacks along with an experienced offensive line, which should help ease the transition into a new coaching era.

With that said, there are certainly risks attached to backing Ole Miss at this price. The SEC remains loaded with national championship contenders, and replacing a stud coach like Kiffin is never simple. However, +1100 feels intriguing for a team that already proved last season it can compete with the nation’s elite programs. If the Rebels adapt quickly under new leadership, they could outperform expectations in the SEC race.

Bet: Yes

Ole Miss Rebels 2026 Win Total Odds

Win Total Odds:

Ole Miss’ win total is currently at 7.5, juiced to the over at -140. The market is clearly baking in some regression in the post-Kiffin era, as the Rebels went 13-2 last season. I think there’s an overcorrection here, making it worth laying the juice at -140 odds on this low number.

There’s enough upside at quarterback with Trinidad Chambliss leading the offense. Chambliss brings valuable experience and mobility to the position, which fits well within Ole Miss’ offensive identity. If he builds on last season, we could see the Rebels make some noise once again.

Bet: Yes – Over

Ole Miss Rebels 2026 Heisman Contenders, Odds

Trinidad Chambliss, QB:

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has the shortest odds to win the Heisman among Ole Miss players, currently listed at +1100 odds. This is fifth on the odds board, behind CJ Carr, Arch Manning, Dante Moore, and Julian Sayin.

Chambliss was great for the Rebels last year, completing over 66 percent of his passes for 3,937 yards with 22 touchdowns and three interceptions while averaging 8.8 yards per attempt. He’s also a major threat on the ground, putting up 527 yards and eight touchdowns last year.

If Chambliss can build off this performance with more high-end production, carrying the Rebels to the playoffs once again, there’s a chance that he can win this award.

Bet: Yes – Trinidad Chambliss
