2026-27 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Sleepers

Anthony Hill Jr. and Josiah Trotter remain the DROY sleepers to watch. Hill, a second-round pick out of Texas, has started all five games for the Titans and is putting up starter-level tackle numbers few expected from a Day 2 selection — 47 combined tackles, tops among rookies at the position — even priced as a 50-1 longshot entering the season.

Trotter has been just as productive in a smaller role for the Buccaneers, piling up 38 tackles, a sack and an interception for a touchdown through four games. Neither shows up near the top of the odds board because their teams are a combined 1-9 (Tennessee 0-5, Tampa Bay 1-4), but tackle production like this on bad defenses tends to get noticed as the season wears on, and both are worth a flier at their current prices.
