Week 4 wraps up with two games, and one of them is a division matchup for the bottom of the AFC East. Neither the Miami Dolphins nor the New York Jets has won a game this season and has been outscored by more than a touchdown per game. Luckily, one of these units is likely to get a victory, but who knows, maybe we’ll have a tie to continue each squad’s winless streak.

MNF Anytime Touchdown Picks: Jets vs Dolphins (Monday, September 29)
Division games can be ugly because the teams know each other and are prepared to do battle once again. Luckily for us, the total sits at 44.5, and the line for total touchdowns is 5.5, although there are some 4.5s juiced to the over at a few sportsbooks. That means we should see a few players get the ball across the goal line. Let’s figure out who we want to bet on to do just that and score an anytime touchdown.

Jets at Dolphins: First Touchdown Odds
NFL Anytime Touchdown Picks: Justin Fields (+210)
New York’s quarterback, and arguably most talented runner of the ball, Justin Fields, missed last week because of a concussion, but he’s back this week, and the books are offering us a great price to bet on him to score. Fields is a gifted runner and someone who has rushed for several touchdowns in his career, including two in Week 1 of this season.
The Jets know that Justin Fields is limited when it comes to reading defenses and making tough throws, so they’ve designed the offense to suit his strengths, which means running the ball. If the price is this high, I’ll happily bet on Fields to score a touchdown any week.
NFL Anytime Touchdown Picks: Ollie Gordon II (+310)
The backup running back for the Dolphins has seen his workload increase and even had 9 carries last week against the Buffalo Bills. Although Gordon was a late draft pick, he’s been slotted in as the Dolphins’ #2 runner this entire season, and could be working his way up into a 1A/1B type situation.
Miami used multiple running backs last season and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re ready to get back to that now that the rookie looks comfortable. The New York Jets’ defense has been solid against the pass, but struggled to slow down the run. I love the matchup and the usage for Gordon and at this price, I love the idea of betting on Gordon to score six points.
Good luck with your NFL touchdown picks and the rest of your bets for Monday Night Football!
