Cam Spencer To Record 6+ Assists, Shaedon Sharpe To Score 20+ Points, Donovan Clingan To Record A Double-Double (+254 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Grizzlies and Trail Blazers help close out Friday night’s six-game slate with a matchup that a robust total of 233.5-234 points as of midday. Memphis is particularly shorthanded in both the backcourt and frontcourt, which helps inform our three-leg parlay.

We’ll start on the Grizzlies side with Spencer, who’ll be back in the starting five due to Ty Jerome’s absence with a calf injury and Ja Morant’s because of his elbow sprain. Spencer has been effective as a facilitator on a per-minute basis this season, averaging 0.23 dimes per minute on the floor. The second-year guard has a robust 33.1% assist rate overall, and Friday, he’s facing a Blazers squad that’s allowing a Western Conference-high 32.0 assists per contest in the last three games. At his current rate, even a relatively modest 27 minutes on the floor will get Spencer to six assists Friday.

We’ll move on to Sharpe, who’s taken a significant step forward as a scorer this season and is averaging a career-high 21.8 points per game. Sharpe has virtually made 20 points his floor, as he’s reached or exceeded the mark in 30 of 47 games and has come right up against it with 19 points on five other occasions. He scored 17 in just 27 minutes against Memphis in his one prior meeting with the Grizzlies, and he checks into Friday with improved 48% shooting over his last 15 games while reaching or exceeding 20 points in 12 of those contests. The Grizzlies have also been especially vulnerable to SGs of late, surrendering an NBA-high 25.9 points per game to the position in the last seven contests.

We’ll close things out with Portland’s emerging young big in Clingan, who’s comfortably averaging a double-double in his last 10 games with 12.0 points and 13.2 rebounds per contest. Clingan has recorded 18 double-doubles overall this season, including four in the last nine games alone. Memphis is especially short-handed in the frontcourt, as Santi Aldama has already been ruled out due to knee injury management Friday, while Zach Edey (ankle) remains sidelined and Clingan will have a significant size advantage on new arrivals Kyle Anderson and Taylor Hendricks, who are both best suited for power forward. Clingan is already seeing a massive 20.4 rebounding chances per game and is converting them at a 54.8% clip, putting a double-double firmly in play.

Brook Lopez Over 13.5 Points + Rebounds, Kawhi Leonard To Score 25+ Points, Russell Westbrook To Score 10+ Points (+246 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

A new-look Clippers squad that dealt away James Harden and Ivica Zubac at the deadline pays a visit to Golden 1 Center to take on the Kings in a Western Conference clash. The departure of both players to Cleveland and Indiana, respectively, helps inform the first two legs of tonight’s three-leg parlay.

We’ll begin with Zubac’s replacement down low in Lopez, who’s naturally proven highly capable as a starter during his long career. He hasn’t had much of an opportunity to run with the first unit in Los Angeles, but he has averaged 13.6 points + rebounds in his eight starts across 24.5 minutes per game. Among those eight starts was one against these same Kings on Dec. 30, when Lopez posted 14 points + rebounds over 23 minutes. Lopez has averaged 19.8 points + rebounds per 36 minutes with both of his former teammates off the floor this season, so even another 23-minute outing Friday could get Lopez past the mark while facing a Kings team that’s surrendered 40.1 points + rebounds to centers in the last 15 games.

We’ll move on to the clearest beneficiary of Harden’s departure, that being his old running mate Leonard. Kawhi boasts a team-high 40.2% usage rate and is averaging 34.8 points on 25.1 field-goal attempts per 36 minutes with both Harden and Zubac off the floor this season. Those numbers naturally speak for themselves, as does Leonard’s 22-for-37 hit rate  — which is just four total points from being an even more impressive 26-for-37 — with respect to the 25+ point threshold this season. Sacramento, which is surrendering 49.2% shooting overall and allowing the fifth-most opponent free-throw attempts per home game (25.1), facilitated one of Leonard’s big games in the one prior meeting this season in the form of a 33-point outing Dec. 30.

Westbrook closes things out from the Sacramento side of things, and we’re rolling with a scoring mark he should be able to hit fairly easily. The veteran point guard and future Hall of Famer is enjoying a solid season that’s seen him average 15.3 points per game, including 16.5 per home contest. Westbrook put up 12 points in just 19 minutes in that aforementioned first meeting between the teams, and he’s recorded at least 10 points in 41 of 49 games, including in all but four of his 43 starts.
