2026 3M Open: Top DraftKings Showdown Plays & Live Bets Ahead of Round 4
We’ve reached the final round of the 2026 3M Open, with TPC Twin Cities producing the low scores we’ve all come to expect from this event. Jackson Koivun has taken control of this tournament, posting a Saturday round of 61 to claim a three-stroke lead heading into Sunday. Emiliano Grillo is the closest challenger at -17, but Michael Brennan, Billy Horschel, Denny McCarthy, and Scottie Scheffler remain within striking distance with just one round to play.
Looking ahead, we have new data at our disposal to adjust our approach in DFS formats before Round 4 gets underway on Saturday. Conditions were largely calm on Saturday, but the course will continue to get firmer as the week goes on. Ahead, we’ll look to identify the players who have shown they are most due for a Round 4 breakout.

DraftKings Showdown Golf Strategy
DraftKings Golf Showdown Golf is a one-round Daily Fantasy format in which players aim to construct the best-scoring one-round lineup while staying within the allotted salary cap. To identify value in Golf Showdown, it’s typically best to focus on buy-low opportunities on players who’ve shown uncharacteristically poor putting in the prior round. There is also an opportunity to find leverage by identifying favorable weather splits and players who are more likely to card birdies-or-better.
Round 4 3M Open Showdown Pillar Plays
As expected, birdies have been easy to come by at TPC Twin Cities. That is a change of pace since returning from the links swing overseas, and we’ve seen the players who remained stateside in opposite events over that stretch keep the hot hand. TPC Twin Cities has a reputation for being a birdie-maker’s dream, but we saw in the first three rounds that blowup holes are easy to come by too, with water lurking on the majority of holes here. That places a heightened importance on driving accuracy and ball-striking, as the leaders have displayed in the opening rounds. Looking ahead, it is going to take a combination of driving accuracy, elite iron play, and a streaky putter to go low at TPC Twin Cities.
Identifying value players who check each of these boxes can provide valuable bonus points in the DraftKings Showdown format. The three players below will be foundational plays in my Round 4 Showdown lineups for these reasons.
Ben Kohles ($9,200)
A top-25 finisher in each of his last two visits to TPC Twin Cities, Ben Kohles has much loftier goals in 2026 as we head to the final round. Kohles has continued his stretch of hot form, which includes six consecutive top-30 finishes, and is currently T3, just four strokes off Jackson Koivun’s lead.
Kohles may be better suited playing the role of chaser, as he struggled to hold his 54-hole lead at the John Deere Classic the last time he was in a contending position at a PGA Tour event. Kohles leads the field in SG: T2G, SG: Ball Striking, and SG: APP, and has putted well too, ranking 27th in SG: Putting. While he lacks the distance of those around him atop the leaderboard, it’s never a bad thing to play consistently out of the fairway at TPC Twin Cities.
Michael Brennan ($8,100)
Of all the courses Brennan has faced yet in his early PGA Tour career, I believe it is TPC Twin Cities which favors his game the most. Just like past champion Cameron Champ, Brennan leans on his elite driving ability to separate from the field on driver-heavy tracks like this. Brennan has ranked top-10 in SG: OTT in virtually every tournament he’s played this season, and had it not been for one drive out-of-bounds in his second round, he would be at the very top of the field in SG: OTT again this week.
Brennan is currently T3 for the tournament, and has taken a very sustainable approach to get there. He ranks 4th in SG: Ball Striking, 3rd in SG: APP, and 15th in SG: Putting through the first three rounds. Those are the three most important areas when it comes to scoring at TPC Twin Cities, so if the putter continues to cooperate, Brennan is in an excellent position to contend for his second career PGA Tour win.
Billy Horschel ($7,600)
Horschel is too good a player to stay down this long, and the 3M Open appears to finally be his turning point. The veteran has been trending with his iron play all summer, gaining on approach in each of his last six starts. That form has continued on a TPC Twin Cities, where he ranks 10th in SG: APP through the first three rounds.
He’s finally gotten the rest of his game to cooperate too this week, as he ranks 9th in SG: OTT and top-35 in both SG: ARG and SG: P. That has all led a score of -15 and T6 on the leaderboard heading into Sunday. Outside of Scottie Scheffler, Horschel is one of the most proven winners atop this leaderboard, and he should feel more comfortable than those around him, knowing exactly what it takes to close on Sunday.
Live Bets To Consider Entering Round 4
Top South African: Christiaan Bezuidenhout
Best Available odds: +120
Only two South Africans remain at the 3M Open, and Bezuidenhout will trail his fellow countryman, Casey Jarvis, by just one stroke heading into the final round. I’m drawn to the value on Bezuidenhout here at +120, as he was the pre-tournament favorite amongst the two, and is a better profile fit for the game required to score at TPC Twin Cities.
Bezuidenhout is known for his accuracy and putting, two skill sets that have been of premium importance this week. Jarvis profiles as more of a bomber, bringing in more volatility on this setup, which so often brings penalty hazards into play with wayward misses. In this battle between veteran and young gun, I’m siding with the more proven commodity in Bezuidenhout.
To Win Outright: Billy Horschel
Best Available odds: +3600
Jackson Koivun may very well be the future of the PGA Tour, but he finds himself in a position he’s never been in before: the outright leader of a PGA Tour event through 54 holes. It’s easy to play the role of chaser when you begin a round four strokes behind the leader, as he did on Saturday. It is an entirely different test to hold onto an overnight lead with many proven veterans chasing you.
The player who I believe is best suited to make a charge on Sunday is Billy Horschel. Horschel remains in complete control of his approach play and has really found something with his driver at TPC Twin Cities. We all know Billy is capable of catching fire with the putter, so if he’s able to hole a few early putts on Sunday, he can give Koivun a run for his money.
