Super Bowl 60 is upon us, and it marks a bittersweet moment: the peak of spectacle for the NFL and sports at large on one hand, but the end of football season on the other. That said, the battle for the Lombardi Trophy will take place on Sunday between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, and it’s the most popular betting event on the sports calendar.

The total sits at 45.5, and the line for total touchdowns is 5.5. These numbers are slightly above average for what we normally see in these markets. Both defenses have been great in the postseason, but the offenses are more than capable of scoring points.
The New England Patriots have Drake Maye, who can score touchdowns on his own or easily throw them to Stefon Diggs, Hunter Henry, and others. Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson are also great runners who can scamper in for six themselves.
As for the Seattle Seahawks, they have the best wide receiver in the game, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, a bevy of tight ends, and a great running back in Kenneth Walker III. The Seattle Seahawks’ defense has been arguably the best defense in the NFL this season, but no defense is without weak points. The Seahawks are bottom 10 at defending opposing tight ends.
When looking at the roster for the Patriots, one tight end stands out over all others. Hunter Henry has the second-most targets, the most red zone targets, and the most end zone targets of any pass catcher. He’s developed a great relationship with Drake Maye and should be a key part of New England’s game plan against Denver. At these odds, Hunter Henry anytime touchdown scorer is well worth a wager.

During the regular season, quarterbacks are often hesitant to run the ball. They understand the risk of injury and how important their health is to their team. Quarterback is the most important position in the game, and the chance of picking up a few yards in the regular season isn’t worth the possibility of getting hurt. That math changes in the playoffs when games are win-or-go-home.
Drake Maye is averaging 1.5 more carries per game in the postseason and even called his own number to seal the victory in the AFC Championship Game. Against a stalwart Seattle Seahawks’ pass rush, Maye will have to run, and he won’t be afraid to do it. At this price, I see a lot of value in betting on Drake Maye anytime touchdown scorer.

Teams haven’t scored many touchdowns against the New England Patriots, but, when they do, it’s through the air and often on a pass to a tight end. AJ Barner is not the top target for the Seattle Seahawks, but he’s still gotten plenty of work in the passing game. He’s third in total targets, second in red zone targets, and second in end zone targets this season.
Barner should get plenty of looks in the passing game, and Barner also has the added benefit of being Seattle’s tush-push player. So, whether it be on a pass catch or with a carry at the goal line, there’s a good chance he scores. At current odds, we have to bet on AJ Barner anytime touchdown scorer.
Super Bowl Seahawks Anytime TD Picks: Jake Bobo ()
This might not be a name that you know, but I assure you that Jake Bobo is a guy that you will remember for a long time after he scores a touchdown in Super Bowl LX. Admittedly, I wouldn’t bet my life on that happening, but making a good bet is about probability versus price, and the chances Jake Bobo will score are higher than the current odds dictate. Bobo hasn’t played many snaps and has only seen three targets, but two of those were in the red zone.
There are several players above him in the pecking order, but Bobo has carved out a nice role as a red-zone specialist. So at prices this high, we have to bet on Jake Bobo anytime touchdown scorer if only to enjoy the reaction of those around us as we lose our minds when a player they’ve never heard of catches the ball in the end zone.
