Bowl season is officially upon us! This article will serve as a hub for each of the 41 bowl matchups where I’ll provide the latest news on injuries, opt-outs, transfer portal information, odds, and more. News will constantly be flowing this time of year, and I’ll update this page every day leading up to these games. Keep in mind that players who enter the transfer portal and coaches who accept positions at new colleges are still eligible to participate in these bowl games.

Other News: DT Tyler Davis is an opt-out candidate to watch. LB Barrett Carter announced he’s returning to Clemson next season.

Kentucky Wildcats

Other News: Former Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith accepted an offer to be the new head coach at Michigan State. Former Oregon State offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren followed Smith to Michigan State to take on the same role. Former Oregon State defensive coordinator Trent Bray was promoted to become the new head coach, but he won’t be with the team for the bowl.

Former passing game coordinator Kefense Hynson will serve as the interim head coach for the bowl game while former cornerbacks coach Anthony Perkins will serve as the interim defensive coordinator.

With Uiagalelei and Chiles in the transfer portal, QB Ben Gulbranson is expected to start after starting the final eight games of the 2022 season.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

CB Ennis Rakestraw (466 snaps) has been out since Week 12 with an undisclosed injury, and his return is unlikely. LB Chad Bailey (197 snaps) is out for the season. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz said he expects all injured players to be back in time for the bowl game except for Rakestraw and Hopper.

Other News: Eli Drinkwitz is 0-2 in bowl games. Missouri is seeking its first bowl win and 11-win season since 2014.

QB Devin Brown could be in line to make his first career start with McCord in the transfer portal, although he’s been limited by injuries all year. Seventh-year senior Oregon State transfer Tristan Gebbia could get the start if Brown is unavailable. RB TreVeyon Henderson (351 snaps) announced he’ll return next season.

Former defensive coordinator Manny Diaz was hired as Duke’s new head coach.

LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson (336 snaps) has been out since Week 10 with a forearm injury. CB Julian Humphrey (168 snaps) has been out since Week 11.

OT Amarius Mims left the SEC Championship with an injury and did not return. He was not seen getting off the team plane.

Other News: QB Carson Beck (833 snaps) has confirmed that he will participate in the bowl game and be back at Georgia next season.

After finishing 8th in the preseason Pac-12 poll, head coach Jedd Fisch led Arizona to a 9-3 record as they finished 3rd in the conference’s final season. Fisch also led the team to its first bowl game in six years.
