Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Sunday Night Football action.
Cowboys-Giants Best NFL Week 1 Player Props
- Dak Prescott Under 23.5 Completions
- Javonte Williams Over 74.5 Rushing Yards
- Jaxson Dart Over 30.5 Rushing Yards
Dak Prescott Under Completions
Prescott is certainly an above-average passer in terms of accuracy, and a season ago, he completed a solid 67.3% of his throws. That figure fell slightly to 66.2% on the road, and in that split, Prescott averaged 21.8 completions per contest as well. The veteran quarterback gets back a familiar group of targets headlined by CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Ryan Flournoy and Jake Ferguson. However, the primetime matchup in what should be a raucous environment against a Giants defense that made passing efficiency last season sets up the opportunity for an Under.
New York surrendered a modest 17.9 completions per home game last season, the sixth-lowest figure in that split. That was partly the byproduct of the G-Men also facing the fourth-lowest pass play rate of any team on its home field (52.5%), and although their defense’s deficiencies against the run played a significant role, opposing offenses were also wary of their fearsome pass rush. That front seven has gotten even more fortified by the addition of rookie fifth overall pick Arvell Reese, who joins the likes of Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, DJ Reader and Tremaine Edmunds.
With a highly capable running back in Javonte Williams, Dallas will likely be fairly selective with Prescott’s dropbacks, especially since the Cowboys will also be short-handed on the offensive line due to Tyler Smith’s thumb injury. Considering the Giants also surrendered a stingy 63% completion rate at home last season and have a solid secondary that added Greg Newsome this offseason, banking on Dak maxing out at 23 completions is viable.

Javonte Williams Over Rushing Yards
The prior prop dovetails perfectly with this one for Williams, who should be fairly busy due to the approach the Cowboys are likely to take offensively in an effort to keep the Giants ravenous pass rush as honest as possible. Additionally, Williams’ primary backup Malik Davis suffered a late-week hip injury in practice that has landed him on injured reserve, a late-breaking development that only boosts workload expectations for the Cowboys’ top back against a Giants defense that was vulnerable to the run a season ago.
Williams averaged 75.1 rushing yards per game in his breakout 2025 campaign, but he lit up the Giants for 97 yards and a touchdown on just 18 carries in his one meeting with New York. He had a 9-7 record to the over on 74.5 overall, but he’s facing a defense that gave up 127.4 rushing yards per home game in 2025, along with a whopping 5.5 yards per carry to running backs. The additions of Harris and Reader should certainly help shore things up, but with Emari Demercado and Israel Abanikanda now set to back up Williams for the time being, the latter should have enough opportunities to put together a solid rushing night.

Jaxson Dart Over Rushing Yards
Dart should once again makes things fun when the Giants have the ball this season, and in addition to his work through the air, the second-year signal-caller is going to rack up his fair share of production on the ground as well. Dart was relatively fearless as a rookie when taking off with the ball, leading to him accruing 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns at a clip of 5.7 yards per carry. Dart even ripped off four runs of 20+ yards, a testament to his elite mobility.
The Giants will be rolling out a new offense under coordinator Matt Nagy, but Dart’s willingness to take matters in his own hands is naturally going to remain a staple of his game. The Cowboys should wield a formidable pass rush in their own right this season under new coordinator Christian Parker, as Quinnen Williams is now fully integrated into the team following last year’s midseason acquisition from the Jets, and he’s joined by Kenny Clark, offseason add and former Packers teammate Rashan Gary, Von Miller and Dee Winters among headliners in the front seven.
Consequently, the Cowboys should be able flush Dart out at least a handful of times, and the fleet-footed QB doesn’t figure to need many attempts to gain at least 31 rushing yards after already doing so in eight of his 12 starts last season.
