English Premier League Anytime Goal Scoring Picks, Odds, Predictions for Sunday, May 17, 2026

The penultimate Sunday in this year’s Premier League campaign is a relatively sedate one. There’s no title race drama, as Manchester City won the FA Cup on Saturday and will now be prepping for a Tuesday match against Bouremouth, whereas Arsenal gets another day to get ready for a match hosting relegated Burnley that could put them on the brink of a title.

That said, there are still matches out there featuring teams that are set up ideally to score, and one team whose very Premier League existence hinges on scoring.

Here are three we have our eyes on heading into Sunday’s matches. Also, be sure to check our soccer betting trends page for daily match data, odds and insights.

  • Matheus Cunha, Manchester United
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds United
  • Jarrod Bowen, West Ham United

Matheus Cunha, Manchester United

Double-digit goals are a milestone that every Premier League attacker dreams of, and Matheus Cunha has only one goal to go to get to that mark after two prior seasons at Wolves getting there with ease.

Manchester United, hosting the early match on Sunday, gets a Forest squad that is just safe from relegation and missing what would be a concerning amount of players if it was still possible for West Ham to catch them in the table. Given all of that, expect United to put up a few goals en route to a comfortable win, with Cunha getting ample opportunity to score at least one and maybe help some teammates add to their tallies as well.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds United

Even though Leeds is a home underdog to Brighton, and doesn’t have a whole lot to play for — safe from relegation, but in an irrelevant 14th place — this is a case of ride the hot foot. Calvert-Lewin has a goal in each of his last two matches, and three in his last four with that third one coming against Wolves.

Brighton still has a chance at Europa League qualification and will be pushing for a win, and very well could get it. But that game state might leave Bart Verbruggen exposed on at least a few shots, and in advance of his trip to the World Cup as Netherlands’ No. 1 keeper, might let a stray goal in.

Jarrod Bowen, West Ham United

Anything less than a win will likely doom West Ham to relegation, and both these teams have a history of scoring goals in matches against each other at St. James’ Park, so expect goals from the Hammers as they play to win — as a draw doesn’t help them much in their quest for 17th place.

Look at the list of West Ham leading scorers, and Jarrod Bowen tops it. He hasn’t scored in Premier League play since a Jan. 31 away match against Chelsea, and only has four goals in all comps in 2026. But he’s still a player who can score as well as assist, and should the Hammers go down, he’ll likely get a Premier League liferaft — possibly even Liverpool level.

Regardless of whether auditioning for a better location or staying where East London fans are forever blowing bubbles, Bowen could have something big brewing.
