Home Run Prop Predictions & Odds: MLB HR Best Bets for Monday, August 31
Rafael Devers Home Run Odds for Monday
Rafael Devers came into Sunday’s action with a .251/.328/.485 with 29 home runs in 582 plate appearances. This includes rock-solid batted ball metrics, as highlighted by an 11.0% barrel rate.
Devers has been excellent in August, slashing .270/.365/.530 with seven home runs in 115 plate appearances. We’ve seen him homer four times in the last six games.
I like the spot against Bryce Elder, who has a 4.01 xERA and a 1.38 HR/9 on the season. On top of that, Devers has hit well against Elder, homering twice with a .920 expected slugging percentage in eight plate appearances.
Sal Stewart Home Run Odds for Monday
Sal Stewart has had a phenomenal rookie season, coming into Sunday’s action with a .265/.337/.484 slash with 30 home runs in 590 plate appearances. He ended up homering on Sunday Night Baseball as well, putting him at 31 for the season.
Stewart now has four home runs in his last five games, so he’s been one of the hottest hitters in baseball of late.
I like the matchup against Padres’ right-hander Michael King. Stewart has one home run in six career plate appearances against him.
Trevor Story Home Run Odds for Monday
Trevor Story has had an injury-plagued season, but he returned to the Red Sox lineup on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a double. That’s good news for his upcoming matchup against George Kirby.
The Mariners’ right-hander has struggled this season, putting up a 3.88 xERA and a 1.04 HR/9. On top of that, Story has had success vs. Kirby. In eight career plate appearances, he has two homers vs. the Mariners’ righty.
