Oneil Cruz Home Run Odds for Wednesday
Oneil Cruz is currently slashing .271/.356/.488 with 17 home runs in 334 plate appearances. This includes an otherworldly 17.2% barrel rate. Since returning from injury, Cruz is slashing .311/.392/.578 with three home runs in 51 plate appearances. He has three two-hit games in his last four, including four hits last night.
Needless to say, Cruz is coming in hot for tonight’s matchup against Giants’ right-hander Landen Roupp. This is a pitcher who doesn’t have issues with the long ball (0.77 HR/9), but he doesn’t pitch deep into games, failing to go six innings in six straight outings.
We’re getting longer than +500 odds on Cruz at the time of this article, making him worth a look here.
Jackson Chourio Home Run Odds for Wednesday
Jackson Chourio is currently slashing .282/.343/.476 with 20 home runs in 470 plate appearances. He has increased his barrel rate from 9.7% to 12.6%. He also has three home runs in his last six games.
We’re getting longer than +400 odds on Chourio to homer against Cubs’ left-hander David Peterson, who has a 4.90 xERA on the season. Chourio has crushed lefties this year, putting up a 135 wRC+ against them, so I’ll take the shot on him here.
Riley Greene Home Run Odds for Wednesday
Riley Greene is currently slashing .270/.363/.446 with 16 home runs in 496 plate appearances. This includes an impressive 14.5% barrel rate. He returned to the lineup last night after missing almost a month due to injury.
I like the spot against Dean Kremer, who has a 4.49 xERA on the season. He’s had major issues with the long ball, including a 2.15 HR/9. We just saw Kremer get rocked for five earned runs in his last outing.
