There’s a compact five-game slate Monday night as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship takes center stage, but we still have some solid player prop opportunities. We dive into three of our favorites below:

Monday’s Best NBA Player Props

  • Daniss Jenkins (DET) – Over Points + Assists
  • Stephon Castle (SAN) – Over Points + Assists
  • Cameron Johnson (DEN) – Over Points + Rebounds

Daniss Jenkins (DET) Over Points + Assists

The Pistons will continue without Cade Cunningham (chest) on Monday, which will continue to afford Jenkins a start at point guard. The second-year pro has been outstanding while filling in for his star teammate, averaging 20.1 points, 8.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 48%, including 46.3% from behind the arc, over his last nine games. Jenkins has gone a stellar 7-2 to this 25.5 points + assists prop during the that span, and Monday’s matchup against a Magic squad that’s proven vulnerable defensively down the stretch could certainly allow him to improve on that mark.

Orlando has allowed the eighth-most points per game to point guards in the last 15 contests (25.8), and over the last seven, they’ve surrendered the ninth-most assists to the position as well (9.6). The Magic is also conceding 47.9% shooting at home this season, and Monday’s contest sees the Pistons carrying a solid 115-point implied team total. Jenkins has seemingly developed excellent chemistry with the rest of his first-unit mates, and if Tobias Harris sits out Monday due to his knee injury, the former will have even more opportunities offensively.

Stephon Castle (SAO) – Over Points + Assists

Like Jenkins, Castle has been stuffing the stat sheet with regularity, and in his case that’s essentially been going on throughout the entire season. The second-year guard has been especially productive over the last 11 games, a stretch where he’s delivered 18.5 points (on 50% shooting, including 42.2% from behind the arc), 9.1 assists and 6.4 rebounds across 31.0 minutes per contest.

The 2024 fourth overall pick has a strong showing in his one previous meeting with the 76ers this season, posting 15 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and one steal over only 21 minutes on 60% shooting. Philadelphia is also surrendering the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to shooting guards on the season (24.7) and San Antonio is carrying the third-highest implied team total for the night (122.25), two additional metrics that support the notion of Castle delivering a productive night.

Original Line Publish: 26.5

Cameron Johnson (DEN) – Over Points + Rebounds

Johnson has had an interesting first season in Denver, one that started with a lackluster first several weeks and has also been interrupted by injury. Nevertheless, the veteran wing may be hitting his stride at just the right time, as Johnson checks into a favorable matchup against the Trail Blazers on Monday averaging 14.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.4 minutes over his last 13 games. Johnson’s shooting efficiency has been off the charts in that sample, as he’s drained 54.4% of his attempts from the field, including 48.7% from downtown.

One of the games in that span came against the same Trail Blazers squad he’ll face Monday, with Johnson posting 21 points + rebounds over 28 minutes on blistering 70% shooting. He also generated 19 points + rebounds versus Portland across 27 minutes on Feb. 20, and the Blazers check in surrendering the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (24.9), along with 37.3% three-point shooting to the position. With Denver boasting a 124.5-point implied team total, this prop stands out as one Johnson could be well set up to cash.
