The past 10 years haven’t been kind to the New York Giants. With just one playoff appearance and one winning season in the last 10 seasons, the Giants are all too accustomed to the underwhelming taste of bitter disappointment. Hope has been flaunted in their face one too many times before being ripped away, but the franchise underwent some big changes this offseason that could, in theory, set the team on an upward trajectory for the first time in a long time.
The front office hired former long-time Ravens and one-time Super Bowl-winning head coach John Harbaugh to be the team’s new head coach after firing Brian Daboll midway through the 2025 NFL season. Harbaugh brings experience and a culture of winning—something the Giants are in dire need of.
Put the Harbaugh hiring aside, there’s still some reason to be excited about the Giants’ foundation. The defensive front is packed full of talent, with Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and now rookie first-round pick Arvell Reese, looking to get to opposing quarterbacks in 2026 and beyond. And while he’s no certainty, second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart will be looking to build upon a rookie season that showed some real flash and promise. The former Ole Miss signal-caller has some ground to make up as a passer, but he finished the season second in total rushing EPA among quarterbacks, per Sümer Sports, and another year at the NFL level could hone Dart’s skills.
As much as there is hope in New York, there’s the prerequisite amount of cautiousness. Dart is going to have to learn a completely new offense this offseason, with Matt Nagy taking on the role as the Giants’ new offensive coordinator, and the health of two of their biggest playmakers, wide receiver Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo, remains up in the air. Nabers has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the NFL, but his slower-than-anticipated recovery from a torn ACL means his start to the season could be in doubt. If that happens, the Giants might be in for a rough start. A young team on the up, the Giants have a lot to prove if they’re to be taken seriously in 2026, even with Harbaugh steering the ship.
2026 New York Giants Super Bowl Odds
Predictably, the Giants have incredibly long odds of +7000 to win the Super Bowl. A team with so little playoff success in recent seasons, the Giants are where you’d expect them to be in terms of odds to win the Super Bowl. A run to winning the Lombardi trophy would be nothing short of a minor miracle in New York, even if there’s a little more hope and expectation under Harbaugh heading into 2026 than there has been in a long time. The Giants aren’t starved for Super Bowls compared to most teams in the NFL—they’ve won two in the last twenty years—but they’ll seemingly have to wait a little longer for their fifth Super Bowl triumph as a franchise, barring an act of God.

2026 New York Giants NFC Championship Odds
The Giants haven’t been to an NFC Championship Game since 2011, when they defeated the Patriots in the Super Bowl. They’ve only made the playoffs twice from that point, but could be a team on an upward trend and looking to capitalise on Harbaugh potentially changing the culture within the franchise. That lift could come as early as this season, but the likelihood is that it’s a step too far for a team that has one of the toughest schedules in the NFL in 2026. The Giants could take a page from teams that have finished last in their division before taking leaps the next season, but a trip to the NFC Championship Game and beyond? That might be something that’s a long way away.

2026 New York Giants NFC East Odds
Divisional success has evaded the Giants for the longest time. They haven’t won an NFC East crown since 2011, which is alarming for a division that has had back-to-back winners just once since 2005. The Giants have watched the division be traded between the Commanders, Cowboys, and Eagles in the last 15 years and have been unable to make their mark. Unfortunately for Giants’ fans, the 2026 NFL season feels like another case of watching the rest of the division battle it out for the NFC East crown. The Giants have the longest odds to win the division at +600. The Cowboys and Eagles both have strong rosters capable of challenging for a Super Bowl, while the Commanders will be aiming to bounce back from a poor 2025 season. That’ll make life tough for Big Blue.

2026 New York Giants Win Total Odds
The Giants’ win total of 7.5 feels hefty. They’ve eclipsed seven wins just three times since 2012, but haven’t done so since making the playoffs in 2022, and their 55-109-1 record is the second-worst in the NFL since 2016. Recent history just hasn’t been kind to the Giants, and even as a team clearly looking to point the arrow upwards, reaching eight wins in 2026 is going to be a tough task. The Giants have six games against a strong NFC East, but their strength of schedule in 2026 is almost slap bang in the middle of the league. That makes a change from one of the toughest schedules in 2025, but the Giants still have to play the NFC West and AFC South. That’s a tough gauntlet of games. Winning more than seven games would feel like a major achievement, but one that seems just out of reach.
Bet: Under 7.5 (-110)
2026 New York Giants To Make The Playoffs Odds
The Giants head into training camp with the eighth-worst odds to make the playoffs in 2026 at +255. Like previously noted, that’s to be expected. The Giants’ schedule gets off to a rocky start with games against the Cowboys and Rams, and between Week 9 and Week 14 they face the Eagles, Commanders, Jaguars, Colts, 49ers, and Seahawks. That’s a tough slate of games. The defense could be rolling by then, with the front looking to dominate at the line of scrimmage, but there remains one too many question mark about the state of the offense in 2026. Betting the under of the Giants’ season win total also means sticking with the notion that a trip to the postseason—an excursion this young team isn’t familiar with—is a bridge too far. At least for now.

2026 New York Giants MVP Award Odds & Contenders
- Jaxson Dart
- Abdul Carter
The Giants have a lot of young and exciting talent that could take a major step forward in 2026, or at the very least, secure their status as players worthy of playing in the NFL. If Malik Nabers can return from his ACL injury in 2026, he’ll look to retake his place among the table of the NFL’s top receivers, but a crack at the MVP award seems unlikely. Dart has the best odds on the team at +4500, a sign that while his prestige in the league is on the up, he’s not considered a realistic option for the MVP award.
Despite that, Dart still has the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Drake Maye as a quarterback that takes a major step forward in his second season. Dart doesn’t have the same talent as Maye, who finished second in MVP voting in 2025, but if he can find some comfort in Matt Nagy’s offense, there’s no reason he can’t be the next breakout star in the league. Will that lead to an MVP honor in 2026? Most likely not.
