Top TD Picks: Jameson Williams , Emmett Johnson
It’s time for the Sunday afternoon Week 3 slate, so we’re going to zone in on two anytime touchdown props. This week, I’m targeting players on two teams projected to score a lot of points. But we’re not going for the usual suspects here. I’m targeting a No. 2 wide receiver off to a slow start along with a backup running back in a favorable game script. With that in mind, find out why I’m on Jameson Williams and Emmett Johnson.

Jameson Williams (Lions vs. Jets) Touchdown Odds
Jameson Williams is off to a slow start so far, putting up only six receptions for 78 yards in two games. But with the Lions off extended rest having played Thursday Night Football, this sets up as a get-right spot for them at home against the Jets. Oddsmakers agree, as the Lions are 6.5-point favorites with a 27.5-point team total, so they’re projected to score about four touchdowns.
Playing at home in an indoor game environment is perfect for Williams’ game-breaking speed, as he has the ability to take the top off an opposing defense. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him get loose downfield in this one.
While the Jets defense has been better than expected so far, one of those games was against the struggling Cam Ward, and another was vs. a Packers decimated offensive line in rainy weather. Now indoors, I’m betting that the Lions will have their way with this defense, with Jamo getting behind the defense for some explosive plays. You can get him to score a touchdown at around +160 odds at the time of this article.
Emmett Johnson (Chiefs vs. Dolphins) Touchdown Odds
Emmett Johnson has been quite impressive for the Chiefs in limited action so far, putting up 10 carries for 39 yards. His talent jumps off the screen when you watch the film, as this is a rookie who won the No. 2 RB job, consistently showing elusiveness when he does get the ball. What I love about taking Johnson is that this game against the Dolphins could turn into a blowout.
The Chiefs are double-digit road favorites in this one. If they get out to a sizeable lead heading into the fourth quarter, that sets up Johnson nicely for some increased volume. To that end, there’s a legitimate chance that Johnson finds the end zone in this one.
We’re getting a longshot price on Johnson at longer than +300 odds at the time of this article. Sign me up given this favorable game script. Remember, we saw this Dolphins defense get gashed by Ashton Jeanty in Week 1. We could see more of the same here.
