Monday’s Anytime Goal Scorer Picks
- Porter Martone
- Owen Tippett
- Dylan Guenther
- Jack Eichel
Porter Martone Anytime Goal Scorer
While the sample size has been small, Porter Martone has been able to inject some life into the Philadelphia Flyers offense, averaging 0.54 Expected Goals and 3.56 Shots on Goal per game. With Martone’s contributions, the Flyers front line have been able to round back into competitive form in the playoffs, ranking above league average in Expected Goals For in All Situations and in 5-on-5 Play.
In a favorable matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins, expect Martone to continue to stuff the stat sheet by exploiting a back line who has plummeted down the board in Expected Goals Against in All Situations. Even with Arturs Silvos replacing Stuart Skinner in net, the Penguins back up goalie has been unable to ward off Shots on Goal, averaging 3.07 Goals Against per game.
Owen Tippett Anytime Goal Scorer
Before Martone made his way to the ice, Owen Tippet was solely responsible for keeping the Flyers competitive in their contests throughout the regular season, averaging 0.34 Expected Goals per game. A stunning performance when factoring in the little support he received from his linemates during that span, leading a group who ranked near dead last in Expected Goals For.
Heading into Monday, Tippett will be able to replicate the same success he had during the regular season by taking advantage of a Penguins back line who severely struggles in coverage as previously mentioned. Especially with Martone pulling defensive attention away from him, widening the width of his shooting lanes in front of the crease which will improve the quality of his Shots on Goal.
Dylan Guenther Anytime Goal Scorer
Even though the Utah Mammoth front line have regressed in the playoffs, Dylan Guenther has been able to keep them afloat, averaging 0.35 Expected Goals and 3.06 Shots on Goal per game. His production has been vital to the Mammoth’s success, masking an offense who has steadily fallen down the board in Expected Goals For in All Situations.
While a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights looks daunting on paper, Guenther’s aggression in front of the net forces their back line to scramble, opening up wider gaps in their coverage, Carter Hart has also been unable to hold his own throughout the series, averaging 3.11 Goals Against per game and a .892 Save Percentage in three starts.
Jack Eichel Anytime Goal Scorer
Since the start of the regular season, Jack Eichel has been able to pressure the net at a very high rate, averaging 0.34 Expected Goals per game. With Eichel leading the charge on offense, the Golden Knights have been able to thrive, ranking above league average in Expected Goals For in All Situations and in 5-on-5 Play.
Fortunately for the Golden Knights, Eichel will be able to continue to light the lamp against the Utah Mammoth in game four by attacking a back line who resides in the bottom half of the board in Expected Goals Against From High Danger Shots. For some more exposure, escalator bet Eichel’s Anytime Goal Scorer prop by placing smaller wagers on his alternate totals at the best available odds across multiple sportsbooks.
