Gabriel Landeskog Anytime Goal Scorer

Since the start of the Western Conference Finals, Gabriel Landeskog has been able to consistently break through the Vegas Golden Knights back line and find the back of the net at a high rate, scoring two Goals in three games. A performance that has mirrored what Landeskog has been able to do throughout the regular season, entering the postseason averaging 0.28 Expected Goals per game.

With the Golden Knights back line struggling to hold their ground while steadily dipping down the board in Expected Goals Against in All Situations, Landeskog will be able to continue to attack their gaps in coverage and generate high quality Shots on Goal in front of their net. Especially if Nathan MacKinnon is able to shake off his injury and help pull defensive attention away from him, widening the width of Landeskog’s shooting lanes on the opposite side for a one timer or rebound opportunity.

Artturi Lehkonen Anytime Goal Scorer

When healthy, Artturi Lehkonen has played a major role in the Avs ability to pressure the net, averaging 0.38 Expected Goals and 2.19 Shots on Goal per game throughout the regular season. His production has helped spark the Avs success on offense, contributing to a front line who led the league in Expected Goals For in All Situations and in 5-on-5 Play.

Fortunately for the Avs forward, Lehkonen will be able to quickly round back into form by taking advantage of the Golden Knights lack of coverage, leading to a higher volume of Shots on Goal which increases his chances of scoring. With MacKinnon dealing with an injury, sprinkle some first goal scorer props on his supporting cast, including small bets on Lehkonen, Landeskog, Martin Necas, and Nazem Kadri.

Mitch Marner Anytime Goal Scorer

After a blistering hot start to the playoffs, Mitch Marner has started to cool off, failing to score in his last three games against Colorado. Even with Marner struggling to pressure the net, the Golden Knights have been able to mask his regression, surrounding the forward with a supporting cast who ranks well above league average in Expected Goals For in All Situations.

Fortunately for Marner, the Avs back line have also shown signs of regression while dealing with wear and tear, making it easier for the Golden Knights forward to weave the puck through their coverage while they struggle to face guard. Even with Scott Wedgewood anchoring their net, the Golden Knights versatility will force the Avs goalie to constantly shift between the pipes, opening up larger gaps beside him for Marner to exploit.
