Now it’s win-or-go-home for Philadelphia, and the matchup shifts to the mound: Cristopher Sánchez starts for the Phillies against Tyler Mahle, with Atlanta looking to complete the sweep. Jesus Luzardo’s Game 1 return (5 innings, 6 strikeouts off a recent injury) showed the rotation can hold up — the real question is whether Sánchez can give Mattingly enough length to keep Duran and the rest of the bullpen out of exactly the kind of high-leverage, multi-inning spot that cost them Game 1.
