Best Bet: Georgia Tech +12.5 (-112)

Best Bet: Under 55.5 (-108) at DraftKings

Score Prediction: Tennessee 31, Georgia Tech 21

The Pick: Tennessee 31, Georgia Tech 21

We’ll take Georgia Tech to cover +12.5-points with a solid ATS record as an underdog in the home state of Georgia. Tech also favors the Under as an underdog, too.

Game Betting Analysis

It’s tough to back the Yellow Jackets following a home loss against the Colorado Buffaloes in Week 1, but Georgia Tech was the favorite and now is a home underdog with a double-digit spread. Tech has covered nine of 10 games when playing in Georgia as an underdog, while also covering five of seven games in 2025. Tennessee, despite a lopsided win in Week 1, couldn’t cover the spread – so with +12.5-points we lean towards Georgia Tech covering. However, the Under is live with Tech hitting the Under in 11 of 12 games as an underdog, while also seeing just 27 total points against Colorado in Week 1.

Deciding Factor: Faizon Brandon vs. Georgia Tech Defensive Unit

Brandon put himself on the map with an overly dominate performance against Furman during Week 1 games, scoring a total of 10 touchdown with over 200 passing yards and 65 rushing yards. While the Georgia Tech offense will have to improve for any sort of success in 2026, the defense played well against Colorado and now has a real challenge ahead with Tennessee’s offense. Tech is home, and playing at night in a nationally televised spot should favor the defense, but this game represents a great tug-of-war battle between the two key factors for each team to be successful this season. For Tennessee to compete in the SEC, Brandon will have to play at a high level – while the same can be said for Georgia Tech’s defense in the ACC. Consider this a measuring stick game for both.
