The Elite Eight is finally here as both of our Midwest Region picks to reach this round hit! The Tennessee Volunteers enter as the No. 6 seed against top-seeded Michigan Wolverines for what should be a great game. Let’s dive into the betting numbers, odds and trends for this regional championship game.

Tennessee vs. Michigan Betting Analysis

The Vols enter this game on a 3-0 ATS run, also covering the spread in six of nine games on a neutral court. Tennessee has also won seven straight outright on the 1H moneyline in non-conference, currently +200 but also adding some conviction to a somewhat large spread. Overall, the Vols have covered five of seven games but the total trends have a lot more traction.

Tennessee has hit the Under in four of five games, along with 11 of 14. Also, the Vols have gone Under 145 total points in seven straight games vs Big Ten schools. Finally, the Vols are 4-2 ATS as an underdog this season. For Michigan, despite a rough ATS season that currently sees a 17-20 record, the Wolves have covered their last two games while winning outright in 13 of 14 games outside the Big Ten.

Despite Tennessee’s Under success, Michigan has rattled off 86 points or more in 10 of 11 games outside the Big Ten as well. It’ll be interesting to see what gives between those two trends, with Michigan touching 86 would likely see the total go Over. Michigan has gone Over in three of four games, but hit the Under in six of seven prior. Also, despite covering the last two games, Michigan dropped the spread in six straight prior along with eight of nine.

Tennessee vs. Michigan Best Bet, Pick & Prediction

We’ll try the Vols’ spread, large enough to have conviction in with the Tennessee ATS trends including a 4-2 mark as the underdog and 6-3 on neutral courts. Also, we’ll play against Michigan’s 2-6 ATS skid over its last eight games which also extends to 3-8 over its last 11.

Score Prediction: Michigan 80, Tennessee 73
Best Bet: Tennessee +7.5
