The PGA Tour remains stationed in the Sunshine State from one signature event to another. The Florida swing continues on to TPC Sawgrass. It’s one of the year’s biggest events in golf, the 2026 PLAYERS Championship. The PLAYERS features one of the deepest fields of the season, with so much volatility year-to-year. Therefore, it can be an ideal week for searching for diamonds in the rough for your PGA Tour betting and golf DFS picks.

Let’s get to our 2026 PLAYERS Championship longshots and sleepers for your DFS lineups and betting cards. Click on the odds anywhere below to bet now at the best available prices in your state.

Finding Value in THE PLAYERS Championship Field

To identify “value” any given week on the PGA Tour, I find it’s best to first understand the consensus key stat profile and then take a stance on the elements of the tournament that may go overlooked. At THE PLAYERS, recent form, SG: APP, and history in difficult, high-stakes conditions are consensus key areas factored into each player’s price.

From a sleeper perspective, I will take a stance on the importance of Comp Course History and SG: Ball Striking on comparable positional courses. They present opportunities to buy low on players who may not fit consensus trends. Course History has not been predictive at TPC Sawgrass. I’m leaning on that stance to differentiate my player pool and find value for this week’s tournament.

Below, find my favorite golf DFS picks and longshots for the 2026 PLAYERS Championship. Stats were pulled across the last 36 rounds unless otherwise noted.

THE PLAYERS Championship Course Specs

For a deeper dive into the course, read my PLAYERS Championship preview. Below are my favorite PLAYERS Championship sleeper picks.

Sepp Straka

I really, really like Sepp Straka’s chances this week. Despite his position this far down the betting board, I’m giving him some serious consideration as my One And Done pick. When looking for value plays in marquee events like THE PLAYERS, I have to ask myself a question. “Would it make sense if this guy won an event of this magnitude?” The more I’ve dug into Straka’s resume, the more confident I feel.

Straka is on a short list of players with four PGA Tour wins over the last four years. His most recent came at the Truist Championship, a Signature Event against all of the PGA TOUR’s best. Before that, he won the 2025 American Express, which was designed in the image of TPC Sawgrass by Pete Dye. Straka grew up in Georgia and played his best golf on Bermuda courses. He also picked up a win at the 2022 Honda Classic and fell in a playoff to Will Zalatoris at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship. That has translated to some initial success at THE PLAYERS as well. He’s posted three top-16 finishes over his last four appearances.

It’s been a boom-or-bust start to the year for Straka, with three top-5 finishes over his last six events. In complete control of his ball-striking, and with great splits putting on Bermuda greens, there is much to like about the Austrian’s chances.

Sahith Theegala

Pete Dye’s Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass is paradise for creative shot-makers and imaginative scramblers like Sahith Theegala. Theegala hasn’t exactly taken a conventional path en route to the five top-25s he’s posted over his last six starts, but he’s getting the ball in the hole efficiently nonetheless.

In his most recent appearance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Theegala shot the round of the day on Sunday, leading the field in SG: Approach for the day and closing with a 66 to finish to finish T6 for the tournament. He’s played Pete Dye courses well over his career, with five top-10 finishes across the Travelers Championship, RBC Heritage, The American Express, and THE PLAYERS since 2022. That includes runner up finishes at both The Travelers and RBC Heritage, and a T8 at The AmEx earlier this season.

Theegala has popped at TPC Sawgrass before, finishing a career-best T9 here in 2024. Ironically, it was his around-the-green play that let him down that week, which has conversely been the cornerstone to his success thus far in 2026. Theegala ranks top-15 in the field in weighted Short Game (SG: ARG, Scrambling Gained, Sand Save Percentage, Bogey Avoidance in Difficult Scoring Conditons) over the last 36 rounds.

Aaron Rai

A Ponte Vedra Beach resident, Rai moved to the area in order to make TPC Sawgrass and its practice facilities home. That familiarity with the course and its agronomy has paid dividends for Rai, who’s finished T19, T35, and T14 over his first three career appearances at THE PLAYERS. While a bit slow out the gates to start 2026, Rai turned in his best outing yet in his most recent start at the Cognizant Classic, where he finished T23.

Accuracy is Rai’s game, and a positional Pete Dye venue like TPC Sawgrass is designed to accentuate his skillsets of reliably getting the ball from Point A to Point B. Rai ranks No. 20 overall in my model this week, with top-15 ranks in the key categories of Driving Accuracy, Good Drive Percentage, SG: Ball Striking (Comp Positional Courses), and Comp Course History.

Rai is a four-time winner across the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour, and proved he can lean on his precise ball-striking to navigate high winds during his 2022 Scottish Open victory. His lone PGA TOUR win came at the 2024 Wyndham Championship, anotehr strong, Bermuda positional comp course. Rai’s form my not be at his best currently, but he represents a solid salary saver option in fantasy formats, or a value top-20 placement consideration.

Joel Dahmen

It’s been a boom-or-bust start to 2026 for Dahmen, but a pair of top-10 finishes over his last four starts leaves plenty of room for optimism. Accuracy is Dahmen’s game, so it’s hardly a surprise to see how well his game has measured up at TPC Sawgrass to date. He’s missed just one cut here in six career appearances with two top-12 finishes over that stretch.

Dahmen ranks No. 1 on the PGA TOUR in terms of both Driving Accuracy, Distance From Edge of Fairway, and Good Drive Percentage. That’s significant when looking for value options at TPC Sawgrass, as few others in this field can be counted on more to avoid trouble on this positional venue.

The putter is always the greatest question with Dahmen, who ranks No. 8 in the field in terms of SG: T2G at TPC Sawgrass. He has, however, gained strokes on the greens in four of his six career appearances. So, if there was a spot for Dahmen to pop on the greens, this is one of them.

Best of luck if you bet or play these golf DFS picks for the 2026 PLAYERS Championship.
