The UFC heads overseas for UFC Fight Night: Medic vs. Rodriguez on Saturday, August 1. This weekend’s 14-fight card marks the UFC’s first-ever visit to Serbia, with several of the promotion’s top European prospects featured. The prelims begin at 10 a.m. ET, with the main card expected to follow later in the afternoon.
Serbia’s own Uroš Medić headlines the card in a welterweight bout against Daniel Rodriguez. The former Dana White Contender Series alum is one of seven Serbian fighters set to compete on Saturday and enters as a heavy favorite, looking to extend his three-fight KO streak dating back to August of last year. Rodriguez also arrives on a three-fight winning run, having last competed in July 2025.
Before the welterweights take center stage, the co-main event features one of the UFC’s most exciting light heavyweight prospects in Navajo Stirling. The 28-year-old enters as a significant favorite over former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Błachowicz, with just six weeks between his last fight in June and this one. The rising prospect will look to take down a division legend and improve his UFC record to 7-0.

Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira – Michael Oliveira to Win by KO/TKO/DQ in Round 1 (+180)
Oliveira is one of the most intriguing new prospects in the light heavyweight division, having earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series last year. The Brazilian has won eight of his nine professional fights by knockout and will look to make an immediate impression in his UFC debut against the more experienced Oban Elliott. While both fighters are the same age, Elliott will be competing in his seventh UFC bout, looking to avoid a third consecutive loss.
The Welsh international has been knocked out just twice in his career, both before joining the UFC. Even so, Oliveira brings a level of power Elliott has not yet encountered in the promotion. Look for the Brazilian to come out aggressively and look to add a seventh first-round finish to his record.
Dusko Todorovic vs. Robert Valentin – Over 1.5 Total Rounds (+100)
Serbian native Dusko Todorović will look to pick up a win as a slight underdog in front of his home country on Saturday. The 32-year-old middleweight last competed in September 2025, ending a three-fight losing streak with a first-round submission over Jose Medina. He now faces Robert Valentin, a relatively new UFC addition who will look to match Todorović on the ground.
Both fighters are capable wrestlers, which is why the over is the play here. Expect plenty of clock-eating grappling, takedown attempts, and submission hunting — all of which point toward this going the distance. The two have combined for 12 career submission victories, and Valentin in particular will prefer to keep it on the ground given his knockout history. The Swiss fighter was stopped in two of his first three UFC bouts before earning a submission win earlier this year.
Jan Błachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling – Exact Method of Victory: KO/TKO/DQ (+180)
Saturday’s co-main event could be the final time we see UFC legend Błachowicz inside the octagon. The 43-year-old has gone winless in four fights since December 2022 and now faces a prospect who could signal it is time to hang up the gloves. The former Light Heavyweight Champion underwent two shoulder surgeries in 2023 and 2024 before repairing a torn meniscus in April of this year. He now faces a young fighter in the prime of his career coming off back-to-back knockout victories.
Stirling is a perfect 6-0 since joining the UFC in 2024, with 10 career wins and six by knockout. While backing Stirling to win by KO is tempting, it would be unfair to rule out Błachowicz pulling off an upset finish of his own. Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Medic vs. Rodriguez DFS Picks
Serbian native Vlasto Čepo headlines our DFS lineup for UFC Fight Night: Medic vs. Rodriguez. The 31-year-old middleweight makes his UFC debut against American fighter Gilbert Urbina and enters as a significant favorite riding back-to-back knockout victories. Čepo has a 100% finish rate across his 14 career wins and faces an Urbina who has been knocked out in each of his last two fights, with four of his last five losses coming via knockout or submission.
Our next selection is slight underdog Mark Vologdin, a Russian bantamweight. The 26-year-old has yet to find his footing in the UFC, going 0-1-1 across his first two promotional appearances. Even so, he was signed for his impressive finishing ability at a young age, with 10 of his 12 career wins coming by knockout or submission. He now faces Borislav Nikolić, a fighter making his UFC debut, who will be competing in front of his home crowd and may feel the weight of that pressure. While Vologdin may not win, he represents solid budget value at his price point.
We have also added Oliveira to the lineup for many of the same reasons we backed him in our best props section. The Brazilian has built his reputation on early finishes, and another is firmly in play on Saturday afternoon. He is one of the pricier options in our lineup, but a first-round stoppage will more than justify the salary he carries.
Serbian heavyweight Jovan Leka returns to the UFC after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025. The 24-year-old arrives at his first Fight Night with a 13-2 record and takes on German veteran Alexander Poppeck, who accepted the fight on short notice and enters as a significant underdog. Of Leka’s 13 career victories, 12 have come via early stoppage, making him a strong finish candidate on Saturday.
Dennis Buzukja will look to get back on track after dropping back-to-back fights, most recently a KO loss to Marcio Barbosa earlier this year. He now faces Austrian native Bogdan Grad, who has also lost two straight after winning his first two UFC bouts. Buzukja enters as the underdog but holds a height and reach advantage as he looks to pick up his third career win in the promotion.
Our final selection is Azerbaijani veteran Tofiq Musayev, who takes on Serbian Ľudovít Klein in a lightweight matchup. Musayev has split his first two UFC fights and will look to record his first finish in the promotion after a lengthy history of stoppages in prior organizations. The 36-year-old has 18 career knockout wins and faces a Klein who is willing to stand and trade. Musayev has the power to pull off the upset and should rack up significant strikes at a minimum.
